We spent one night over the Labor Day Weekend at this B&B and concur with previous postings. The location is excellent and Michel's suggestions for everything from where to park, which boat to take to Ile Bonaventure and where to eat were helpful. The breakfast was incredible; international guests were ushered into the dining room at 8:30 am where they sat down at one long table. The selection of cold items, including preserves, meats, and cheeses, was artfully displayed among the china and flowers. The hot dish of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and capers was served individually to each guest-absoulutely delicious. As for the almost perfect, I'm just not a fan of shared bathrooms but I would put up with that again to enjoy the elegant breakfast.

I ditto every word of praise given for this wonderful bed and breakfast. Our room was on the ground floor and included a private bathroom. The room itself was cheery, immaculate and very comfortable. We were next to a sitting room containing a television, a piano and many books, maps, pictures and interesting antiques. The breakfast consisted of many local products including caribou and pheasant as well as the more traditional, for us, meats. Each of the two days of our stay we were also served a hot dish prepared freshly each morning, and we were treated to a wide variety of breads, cereals, yogurts, cheeses and fruits. We are already thinking of when we will be able to make the trip from Idaho to Perce, Quebec, again!

Gite Le Presbytere's accommodations are tastefully decorated, immaculate, roomy and commodious. The facility is a converted Presbytery, adjacent to Perce's demi-cathedral. Michel the inn-keeper is a superb chef. His breakfast offerings are nothing short of superb, and vary from day to day. Michel also is a delightful and attentive host. His suggestions and advice were very helpful as we planned our daily activities in Perce.
Very highly recommended, but reserve early as the tourist demand for rooms at Le Presbyery is high.

Mic.hel was very attentive to all his guests. He provided personalized maps, with the route outlined in yellow, to each guest every morning to help them enjoy locations that were of interest to them We found our room to be bright and clean but the regularly cleaned bathrooms were down the hall. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and delicious, you could not possibly sample all that was laid out on the table.

Michel has very good english - a plus in this area of Quebec for the french speaking impared!l

This inn, as it name announces, was the housing for the priests at the adjacent church (a huge stone pile from the 1930s) ((and the adjacent cemetery for the full service center). The rooms are labelled by the hierarchy from the visiting Monseigneur down to the scullery maid (Menagère) in back. It is a oasis of calm in what has become a tourist town. From the balcony looking out to the Rock, you can just see the earlier, quieter time. The priests rules the roost in rural Québec to rather recently, and the complex electrical equipment in the dining room attests to the control over the bells from across the parking lot. Never mind the past, chez michel is about coziness and attention to detail. The rooms show their simple origins, and the shared bathrooms are quite clean and serviceable. The real result was a restful place where you can watch the fog roll in and out and not mind.
The breakfast was amazing, with bowls and bowls of fruits, cheese, preserves, and good conversation moderated by the host as he makes the eggs up individually. This was a great place to relax and pass a peaceful night.
There is a free computer connected as fast as it can be connected out at the end of the continent. Does this count as a Business Center, of course not. It does work.

Beautiful, charming, comfortable rooms are only the beginning of a wonderful experience of Le Presbytere in Perce.
Michel is a perfect host who offers quiet cordiality, great service, helpful information and consideration to all. Children, I noticed, he treated like little royals.
He is also a fabulous cook who provides the most exquisite breakfast feast I've ever seen. Homemade pate, fruit salad, yogurt, meats, souffle, meats, jams, jellies, breads, etc, etc. All is served family style in the beautiful and interesting dining room.
Perce highlights are in walking distance and St Michael's church stands protectively next door.
Our stay here was a major highlight of our tour of Gaspesie.
Many thanks Michel!!!

PS The village, the Rock and our visit and climb on Baoaventure island were also great memories of Perce.

We stayed here for 2 nights in August, with our two young boys. I simply can't say enough about how lovely our experience was.

Michele, our host, was spectacular. Not only did he provide us with a cozy, clean, comfortable environment and beautiful breakfast, he also helped plan our days in Perce. He very thoughtfully suggested activities that would appeal to our boys, and he got it RIGHT ON! He even gave the boys stuffed animals to have in their beds during their stay. Such a thoughtful caring host who clearly enjoys what he does, and does it so very well!

This is THE place to stay if you are visiting Perce. the location is great ... ( we walked everywhere), the rate is very fair, and the experience invaluable.

thank you Michele!!
