We ordered the brisket dinner and lentil soup with the grilled brie sandwich with caramalized onions and apples. The lentil soup was great, a hearty classic soup.. Very rich and spiced just right. The grilled brie sandwich lacked the brie, was heavy on cinammon and the portion was tiny plus a piece of the plastic from the brie was in the sandwich. The brisket had not had the fat properly trimmed off and the mac & cheese that was side to it was not a nice baked pasta you would have expected..the pickled coleslaw was good but a strange match with the brisket and mac&cheese. Come for the lentil soup... Or take it out.

The food was very good here at the stonewater pub. The atmosphere was perfect and what you would expect of a little Irish pub. I ordered the Fish & chips and my Aunt ordered the Guinness stew. After eating, I wish I would've ordered the Guinness stew because it was to die for, but the fish and chips were good as well. They had lots of beers on tap and I had a lovely cider. Good food, but the service could use a little work. THey were not very attentive and let our water glasses remain empty the whole dinner.

This is an annual must-do for my friends and me. Good regional beer selection on tap. Food is fantastic and inventive. Dave the chef takes pub food to a new level. And the service is friendly and fast.

This restaurant is nearly on the waterfront and off the beaten path. Very close to the Ganonoque Inn. The reviews did not do this place justice. We had an "experiment" by the cook, Mathew. A beef brisket marinated for 48 hours then served with carmelized onions and special sauce along with hand cut fries. Clean as a whistle, friendly competent staff, and charming atmosphere. The restaurant is located beneath a B&B by the same name and owner. We plan to stop here again on our next transit through the area.
