Ohhh, I know that outside Italy is very difficult to find a eatable pizza, but Moroni's pizza is frozen and terrible.
Menu offers many plates of greek cousine, other than pizza. Decent greek salad.
Expensive.

Moroni's looked like the most inviting restaurant in downtown Gananoque still open on a Sunday night in August for four grade school buddies, enjoying a reunion, who just played a great round of golf at Smuggler's Glen, and were looking for a comfortable, quality establishment for a tasty, relaxing dinner.

The varied menu focused on traditional family fare, along with Italian staples (pizza and pasta) and several Greek dishes. But we went with the specials of the evening, thanks to the enthusiastic description offered by the host: a pork souvlaki dish ($12) and a veal chop dish ($13).

The verdict: both dishes were absolutely delicious and properly cooked. Big enough that appetizers were not required. Tasty enough to be offered at the better Greek restaurants on the Danforth in Toronto or in the great Greek restaurants of Montreal (two of us came from Toronto, and two from Montreal; Gananoque is conveniently midway between these two cities).

We will definitely return during next year's reunion.

We went here after going to the Playhouse for a show and the pizza was quite good, had a very different taste to the usual pizzeria's.

We went to Moroni's for our last dinner in Canada and sat outside. Not only did it take 45 minutes before our two XL pizzas were ready but the server kept forgeting silverware, miscounted how much water to bring, didn't refil drinks etc. The mosquitos were vicious after sunset. But the pizza was good.
