Good food well prepared, and the outdoor decks (2) overlook the river. There are two restuarants, formal and bar, but the menus are available on either deck. A note of caution, while both decks have awnings, they face west so latter in the day they can get hot as the sun sets. To us the view is worth the temporary inconvenience

Lovely location and the food looked decent, but unfortunately we never got to try it as we were forgotten by the wait staff for at least 45 minutes, even after asking one of them if we could place our food order. In the end we gave up and left.

This was our base in Gananoque and it was idyllic. Situated right on the waterfront, we had a riverside chalet so quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for the weekend and quite enjoyed it overall. Lovely building and very friendly/helpful staff were definite highlights. The property I think is the best location in Gananoque, right on the water with quite a bit of very well maintained land and plenty of Muskoka chairs to sit and take in the view.

Our rooms were a bit smaller than we expected, with window air conditioner, so they are not modern, but then again it's a historic inn after all. Bathrooms are very nice/clean so no worries there.

Biggest disappointment was the dinner at the Watermark restaurant. Overall it's just not a fine dining experience at all - but they charge like one, so I expected much better. Not much variety, and all dishes came pretty much with the same very plain sides.

Breakfast and lunch were fine, just lower your expectations for dinner - great view makes up for it somewhat though.

Overall it was very nice and would definitely recommend staying here.
