Large room, well appointed, clean and comfortable. Premises a little dated, but well maintained. Very good free hot breakfast. Many dining options close by, including on site sports bar. Very well priced.
Building maintenance very poor, i.e , paint in rooms peeling off, yes that's right peeling. Shower heads not spraying properly, long wait for hot water, windows extremely dirty exterior, A/C very noisy not only my rm My Brother law also.
no interior pool out of service for over a year, no gym under renovation ???
The Danby Fridge, a 2 ft by 2ft, is sitting on the floor with the microwave on top and coffee maker on top of the microwave, if you need something in the fridge you have to bend over quit a bit ,Depending of your age,you risk going head first into the wall, so kneel down if you need something. This situation was brought to the attention of the owners.
Still mosquitos around in the room and at breakfast the outside deck has some wasps to keep you company even at this time of the season, Sliding doors could use handles to facilitate opening and closing of door.

We were traveling through the area and misled by internet reviews and online pictures. This place may have been nice at one time but is now run down and in poor condition. It is by far the worst lodging we have had in a very long time. Would definitely never stay there again and regret spending even one night there.
This site looks good on the internet, don’t be fooled. The place needs major refurbishing, the carpets are suspicious and there is a general feeling of seediness. With the exception of the scrambled eggs the breakfast was inedible and the cutlery was plastic, the knife bent whilst trying to butter a slice of toast that only toasted one side of the bread.
I could go on but think this review might help your decision making.
Suffice to say there is significant room for improvement.
Widower travelling with widow friend booking two adjoining rooms having looked for 2 rooms for 2 adults did not at first realise that the price at a more upscale hotel was the rate for each room so got a bit of sticker shock (probably unwarranted). Was steered to this one and booked rooms despite sharply mixed reviews. I even apologised in advance to my lady friend for any shortcoming! To our amazement, everything from checking in to breakfast the next morning was perfect.
Admittedly, the Labour Day weekend is a time you'd expect a lot of travellers to be looking for a place to stay, but the fluctuating rates at the Country Squire mean it was atrociously high. Next morning, thinking the breakfast in the area that looked a lot like a screened porch from the past would be good, we were sorely disappointed - For a luxury price, we got paper plate, industrial bread, self-serve.... There was a bus load of tourists from France booked in the hotel too. I was embarrassed on behalf of our country that the food was so uninspired.
