We stayed for one night and would definitely go back. The room was tastefully decorated and the bed very comfortable. Ted and Chris were extremely welcoming and it certainly felt like a home away from home. Breakfast was also great. I had the raspberry pancakes baked in the oven with a side of bacon. This was preceded by a parfait glass filled with yogurt and fruit. Good coffee and choice of juices as well. Landscaping is being completed with an addition of a turtle pond in the front garden.

Room Tip: Two rooms have an ensuite bathroom and one doesn't (a few short steps down the hall-at a reduced...

We spent 2 nights at Turtle Island - biking to and from Brockville in between. Had a great stay. Ted and Chris are great hosts and cook a mean breakfast. They were really friendly and down to earth - would recommend it to anyone staying in "Gan"

We had a super time at the Turtle Island bed and breakfast -- we wish we could have stayed longer, and definitely plan on coming back! Our room was so lovely, Ted and Chris were very welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious (I especially enjoyed the homemade scones, warm out of the oven). Also, we have a travel tip: when in Gananoque, you must go to the Iron Pig for a southern barbecue dinner, it is fabulous! (Although probably not for vegetarians.) If you haven't had your fill of coffee in the morning at Turtle Island, head over to the Socialist Pig Coffeehouse (attached to the Iron Pig) for a latte... I ordered a special one with dark chocolate, chili and peppercorns. And it was amazing.

My girlfriend and I booked two nights at Turtle Island for a weekend gettaway. We arrived on friday and were met by the owner, Ted, and were immediately greeted with a smile. Ted showed us to our room in the clean and modern house--we were extremely impressed with our room and how comfortable it was. The house is welcoming and comfortable and felt like a second home. Breakfast in the morning was SPECTACULAR. The beer batter waffles drizzled with sage-infused maple syrup was to die for and the fruit and yoghurt parfait is a must. The BB is centrally located within all Gan. hot spots and therefore offers a never ending itinerary of things to do within walking distance.

We are definitely planning a second visit sometime this month to be welcomed by the hospitality and comfort of the Turtle Island BB.

Room Tip: Our room was wonderful and overlooked the side garden. Beautiful!

We were two couples registered for two nights at Ted and Chris' accommodations during Thanksgiving Weekend. Our itinerary included a cruise and a play at the Gananoque Playhouse. Both venues were within walking distance, a feature that was well appreciated. Tips about the locality were very helpful.

Our room had an ensuite (excellent!) and our friends' room also had access to a full bathroom. There is also a third suite available. Everything was tidy, clean and very comfortable. Internet access available, too busy to use! :)

I cannot say enough about the breakfasts we were served each morning! Fresh local produce, (and although I could not partake of the homemade, highly rated muffins and Belgian waffles, my omelets were exceptionally tasty) and the extra effort to cater to special dietary needs as part of the gourmet servings, made for an excellent start to each day.

A five star trip advisor rating.........we will recommend this B&B and hope to stay there again in the near future.

Room Tip: All rooms are on the second floor, stair access is excellent

We booked this place for 2 days on the long weekend and were extremely pleased. The accommodations were modern, clean, comfortable, and bright. Ted and Chris were a pleasure to have as hosts (I WISH the service was this good at other hotels), and the breakfast is something you just can't miss. The location is walking distance to everything in Gananoque, minutes from Kingston, and close to all kinds of food and attractions.
