David and Wendy wrote the book on being excellent hosts - we had an incredible time at their home. Stunning waterfront property with grape vines, a beautiful historic home, and a hot tub from which to see the mighty St. Lawrence. We had every amenity we could have possibly needed. David and Wendy were very helpful in giving us suggestions on what to see and do while we stayed with them. We look forward to staying with them again!

We stayed here during a tour of Canada. Wendy and David are excellent hosts. The Bunkie overlooking the St Lawrence River is comfortable, well appointed and very private. Wendy prepares a beautiful breakfast with homemade muffins and offers a cooked breakfast, to die for. Howe Island itself is special, a must see only a15 minute car feffy ride to Gananoque. Gananoque sits right at the door of The Thousand Island region - a truely beautiful part of the world. If you have time take a trip out of Gananoque, on the passenger Ferry to see some of the loveliest scenery anywhere in the world. The "Colour" in October is wonderful, one of the best times to visit this enchanting area. I could have stayed at Howe Island Winery B&B for weeks and hope to visit again.

Hosts Wendy and David have worked hard to create an excellent B&B experience on this lovely little island in the St. Lawrence River. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed, and the food excellent. There is great biking and swimming on the island during the summer months, and a whole range of other activities, such as golf, and sightseeing opportunities at the end of a short, scenic ferry ride to the mainland. This is a great place to relax, well worth going out of your way for.

We were so surprised to find out that this little gem was actually located ON one of the islands in the Thousand Islands region. The B&B is situated right at the waterfront of Howe Island, a short ferry crossing from Gananoque. The owners did a superb job in building a huge terrace hanging over the water giving you the opportunity to have magnificent views over the immense water area. Also, it is possible to take a swim as they have a boathouse underneath the terrace. We stayed in the lovely main house in a nicely decorated, clean room with our own bathroom. At the time of our arrival they just opened a separate garden house for guest who seek a bit more privacy. Breakfast was a little feast with the best blueberry pancakes and muffins ever:-). However, best of all are the owners with whom we have had long and interesting conversations while enjoying a nice glass of wine and beer. They truly enjoy having guest over and make you feel very welcome. David has great humor and Wendy is a very warm and caring person. This turned out to be the nicest place of our three week trip through the Eastern part of Canada! David and Wendy: Thanks!
