It was a fairly random last-minute weekend getaway, but now it's a destination. Stonewater is in a beautiful old home, tastefully and comfortably decorated. We stayed in the Webster Suite simply because that was what was available, but I think we'd choose it when we come back. It's really a small apartment, with bedroom (king-sized bed), large bathroom (w huge tub), small kitchen and living room (great view of the river). There were DVDs, games and a few books available in the room. The bed was super comfortable. The whole was super clean. The gorgeous old baseboards, windows and high ceilings were accented with comfortable modern furniture plus a few antiques. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with fruit and juice followed by various choices of main (I had a yummy veg & bacon omelet, husband had French toast w strawberries and whipped cream). No lunch necessary after that! When we arrived yesterday, we went to the Gastro Pub below the B&B, where husband sampled a local brew (Naughty Otter Lager) while we listened to a Celtic trio practise for the Playhouse later that evening. We went back to the Pub for a superb dinner (baked brie to share as an app, then baked salmon fillet on pasta w goat cheese for him and roasted lamb shank with blueberry sauce, mashed potatoes w spinach and grilled veg for me), and later Sue was able to find us room in the pub to listen to the music and humour of Roger James. We didn't go further afield this time, but when we come back we'll know that the Playhouse and downtown are both within walking distance. And we will come back!

Room Tip: We quite liked the Webster Suite. It's nice to have the bedroom and living room separated by a h...

Thank you so much for coming to visit us over the past weekend. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay....it was a great weekend to be here, with the Celtic players practicing in the afternoon and Roger here Saturday night. We hope that you will come back in the summer and enjoy one of our theatre package deals.

R&R +! We had a great weekend, staying in the interesting, very comfortable, set-up in the loft with the best towels we've had in a long time. The view over the river as we sat in our comfortable chairs, sipping (?), watching the ice fisherman was relaxing. The breakfasts were great and Jeff & Sue were lovely The gastro pub immediately next door had really good food with a nice ambiance. We walked to the nearby Playhouse for a show and explored downtown with its lovely buildings and found a great coffee/lunch spot at the Socialist Pig. A lovely, highly recommended getaway.

If you knew my mother you would understand. She is the best cook in the world and makes everyone feel like they are family. Well the Stonewater Manor B&B is every bit as good (sorry mom) We booked the loft which has a character all its own plus a beautiful view of the 1000 Islands.

Breakfasts at the Cafe and dinner at the Gastro Pub plus 2 tickets to the Thousand Island Playhouse were inclusive in the price and was very reasonable. The meals are 2nd to none, the Eggs Benni had a different twist with a Cajun cheese sauce and peameal bacon with a light batter and then deep fried to perfection.
Sue and Jeff, thank you for your warm and cheerful personalities as well as all your staff. We will definitely be back again!

We stayed in the loft this summer. Unbelievable view probably the best hotel view avalable. The first impression of the loft was OMG and the entire experience staying at the Stonewater was OMG. The owners are fabulous, The breakfast incuded is delicious and hearty. The room rate is great value with this breakfast and no need for lunch. The pub is extemely fun with live music on Saturday nights. You can park the car and walk to everything ie the cruises, the downtown shopping area, the playhouse......everywhere. You would need a car to go to the casino thats it. We would not stay anywhere else in Gananoque except the Stonewater loft.

Room Tip: The view from the loft is crazy unbelievalbe !

For those looking for charming and quaint, this is it. We will be going back. Modern conveniences, thoroughly modern bathroom, but fantastic warm, homey atmosphere with lots of character. Not your typical boring, sterile cookie-cutter hotel room. Hosts Jeff and Sue very congenial, engaging. Breakfast far from routine - a "home cooked" class act. Like visiting friends,

Room Tip: The suite on the second floor has fantastic views, great cross breezes.

My husband and I were planning a trip to Gananoque. When I read the reviews of Stonewater Manor B & B, I decided to book the loft. We were not disappointed. It was a beautiful, nicely decorated room on the top floor of a lovely century home . There were two red tub chairs and a window seat in front of a window which overlooked the inner harbour. The view was spectacular. We watched the cruise boats coming and going, while sipping on a glass of wine. The king bed was very comfortable.

When I called to book the room, Sue (the owner) asked me if I wanted the theatre package. For a very reasonable amount, we were able to stay for one night in this lovely room, have a delicious breakfast the following morning, plus got two tickets to see a play at The 1000 Islands Playhouse, and had dinner which included one appetizer, two entrees, and a half litre of wine. We ate the meals in the Pub which is connected to the B & B. The dinner was absolutely delicious, as was the breakfast. Our waitress for dinner was attentive and very pleasant. I think we got excellent value for our money. We were able to walk to the Playhouse in about 5 minutes.

After breakfast, Jeff talked to us at length about Gananoque after we inquired about some of the lovely homes in the area. He is a very friendly host, as was Sue.

We would highly recommend Stonewater Manor Bed and Breakfast. While we thoroughly loved the Loft, we had a sneak peek at the Webster Suite, which looked lovely also.

Thanks to Jeff and Sue for a very memorable stay.

Room Tip: The Loft has the best view, but the bathroom is a bit small.

Came here for a mini getaway with my boyfriend. Just picked a place off the Internet hoping to get a good one. This place exceeded our expectations! Sue and Jeff are so friendly and helpful. Made us really feel at home. Our room was amazing. Clean, unique and very comfortable. I don't think I would ever want to stay else where while visiting this beautiful town. The breakfast that you receive at the cafe/pub attached to the b&b is delicious. And the sever Morgan, is wonderful. So pleasant and accommodating. She definitely helped make our visit here that much more enjoyable! I would recommend this place to anyone passing through, you won't be disappointed.
