Our establishment owes its reputation to its unique and enviable formula:grilled steak served with delicious home made world class sauce. The first course will seduce you with a choice of seasonal cream soup, and for the last course, with home made deserts that will satisfy even the finest palates. On top of the cuisine experience, you will be welcomed with courtesy and excellent service. If you are looking for more a variety of choices of steaks this is the place to go. They offer different cuts, All ingredients are of the highest standards. The meat is well aged and prepared to perfection. A great selection of items including an extraordinary salmon and wallaye.
the food puts this steakhouse in a league of its own. It comes at a price 30 to 40 per. but you get what you pay for. If you normally eat your steak with ketchup, you're probably wrong here.

“Not very impressed!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2013

We dined at L'Entrecote when we cycled through the Laurentians along the path of the Petit Train Du Nord. As part of the package deal, the Inn we stayed at gave us a meal voucher worth approximately $50 (for 2) to dine at this restaurant. When we arrived, the receptionist (it's also an Inn), greeted us rather cooly as if we were bothering her. A gentleman escorted us to our table where a very pleasant, smiling waitress welcomed us to the restaurant. Essentially, the voucher entitled us to a soup, a salad, a main meal and dessert/coffee/tea. Should we want to, we could choose and pay for an appetizer. We could choose 1 of the many mains offered, but some had a supplementary cost associated with them which we would be billed for. There were at least 4 or 5 mains that were offered at no extra cost. The beef, for which L'Entrecote is known for, was extra.

When it came time for dessert, only 1 choice was available at no extra cost - ice cream with blueberries and chocolate sauce. The only other option was a slice of cheesecake at $3.50. And then only regular coffee was served - no decaf. I was shocked - shouldn't restaurants have the decaf option, especially at night? Very strange and disappointing.

Finally, only a cloth towel was hanging in the ladies washrooms to dry off our hands - I used tissues instead - the thought of drying my hands on a towel that has been used by countless of customers before me isn't appealing nor is it sanitary.

So, all in all, not the greatest experience, despite having a wonderful waitress and a tasty main meal, but the soup/salad/dessert were only so-so.

“Best. Steak. Ever.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2013

I am usually weary of ordering steak if its not my husband or myself cooking it as I am picky as heck but they did it to perfection! Don't tell my hubby but it might actually be better than his ;)

The atmosphere is so intimate, romantic and relaxing. You also MUST try the soup. They're all fresh of the day and taste incredible.

Our waitress was so friendly and helpful. She was great. All in all a great evening.
