“Perfect Piece of Pembrokeshire!”

We loved our last visit to Ty Moch Bach so much we just had to visit again. Same beautiful barn but with a newly fitted kitchen including dishwasher and 'slide and hide' oven (Great British Bake Off style!). It was great to return to somewhere we knew would be peaceful and well equipped to explore the area further. As with our last visit the barn was immaculately clean on arrival so we were free to start our holiday as soon as we arrived. The children thoroughly enjoyed our stay visiting the horse in the field opposite daily as well as our favourite beach 'Whitesands'. This time we also took a day trip to Castell Henllys an Iron Age Hill Fort where the children did some warrior training and learnt about how the celts lived. All in all another fun packed holiday enjoyed by us at Ty Moch Bach. The children wanted to stay all summer. We will definately be back to our favourite holiday destination!

“A Few Tweaks and it would be perfect”

Exceptionally clean, very well laid out.
So what's needed to make it perfect? Well these are personal issues only and would not effect most people perhaps.
A choice of a lighter Duvet the ones on the beds were far too heavy for us about 13.5 tog needed to be a 4 tog perhaps with the temperatures we experienced.
The TV only had a Scart and did not enable connectivity of modern devices to bring your own entertainment in the evening or a very rainy day.
The suites were a little soft for us, not offering enough back support.
The Wifi is for emails and general browsing only, no streaming unless you pay
The place is a great location and everything seemed to be a maximum to 25 miles away (Obviously loads of stuff closer).
Would we stay again? the answer is yes, if the tweaks got done it would be bliss, but like I said earlier they are personal and would not effect most people perhaps

“Restful holiday in beautiful, quiet location”
Reviewed March 5, 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Our stay at Ty Moch Bach was just the restful holiday we needed. A beautiful barn conversion in a peaceful setting. Much time and care taken by the owners to ensure booking was hassle free and our needs with young children (5 & 2 years) were met. The little extras provided such as stair gates, bath mat and toilet/sink step were much appreciated when travelling with a toddler.
Everything was very clean, towels were provided and all the beds were freshly made for our arrival, leaving us ready to start our holiday straight away. The children could play safely in the garden and visit the horse in the field next door without worrying about passing cars.
Plenty to do in the area for people with young children including the beaches, Fishguard harbour, st davids cathedral, folly farm and soft play to name a few.
Overall we felt Ty Moch Bach was well equipped, warm, safe for our children, quiet and relaxing...everything we wanted and more. The children have asked to go back again soon and we will certainly be recommending to friends and family.

“Gorgeous, peaceful, comfortable cottage”
Reviewed December 28, 2015 for a stay in December 2015

We booked to stay for Christmas, a bit of a last minute decision, and luckily the cottage was available. We arrived around 2pm, bit tricky to find in rough weather but got there! It is in a little hamlet of cottages near a farm, but it was very peaceful.
You go into the cottage up steps, the downstairs door is off the bedroom (easier to carry your cases in, than to take them upstairs and then back down again inside!)
The cottage is beautifully done to a very good standard,we were very impressed.
It was warm when we arrived, with a written welcome note, fresh flowers and milk.

All very clean and well equipped, we wanted for nothing. (Take a spare toilet roll or 2 as only 1 is provided, but thats fine, also dont forget a bar of soap for the bathroom)

It has economy 7 heating, took a bit of getting used to and lowering as we are having such a mild winter we almost baked as the house is so well insulated! Got it sussed after a day and turned a couple of radiators off and lit the log fire in the evenings, which was lovely.
Every kitchen utensil you need, lovely soft towels, lovely bedding, cleaning products, all there for you.
We did nearly have to sleep in the 2 single beds that were lovely comfy mattresses, as the double was rather bumpy with the springs! but we padded it out a bit and managed to still sleep in the same bed over Christmas! Kind of wished I had slept in the single to avoid hubbys snoring though!

The weather sadly was awful, horrendous gales and hail, the roof sounded as if it was going to blow off and was so so noisy! thankfully the bedrooms being downstairs helped to lessen the wind noise somewhat. Luckily the cottage stayed together and we all survived! Christmas weather to remember!
We went to St Davids Catherdral on Christmas eve, we didnt do the evening service, but they were preparing for it and it was beautiful. You have to visit if you stay here.

All in all we cant wait to stay again as it was lovely! The owners are very helpful and friendly, and it is spotlessly clean and comfortable.

I cant recommend this cottage for people who arent too good on their feet, due to the fact that there are a lot of steps/stairs in the property, I had to be careful when I took my glasses off!
so not suitable for unsteady pensioners or partially sighted people.
There is a child safety gate there to use, but be aware of this if you have toddlers.

Cannot fault the place for us, and we loved it!

Liked best: location was very peaceful and the cottage was beautifully furnished and appointed
Liked least: there wasnt anything not to like, it was lovely apart from the double mattress could be better

“Wonderful place to stay - great family holiday.”

Have just returned from a superb fortnight at Ty Moch Bach with my wife and two boys aged 10 and 12. The accommodation is excellent in every respect. Spacious (much more so than your typical 2 bed cottage), comfortable, spotlessly clean, very well equipped and nicely decorated with quality fixtures and fittings. The photos don't really do it justice. Whatever the weather, we were always pleased to arrive back 'home' , cook and chill out. I agree with a previous post that you could happily live here. Very clear information provided by the attentive owners meant we found it easily and on arrival we were greeted by a hand written welcome message, fresh flowers and milk in the fridge. Lovely soft towels and fresh, bed linen awaited us in the bedrooms, all very new. The large hot water tank meant plenty of hot water for all of us and the accommodation felt well aired. There is ample heating for anyone thinking of booking outside summer. The location is great for many of Pembrokeshire's best beaches, coastal walks and other attractions. We had a mix of sunny, cloudy and rainy days and found plenty to do. In particular, I would recommend Whitesands beach, Solva (lovely harbour and good for crabbing), walking or a boat trip from St Justinian and the walk from Aberaiddi to Porthgain, all of which are very close by. Great days out include Marloes Sands, Stackpole, Tenby, Pembroke and Carew Castles, and the perhaps less visited North Coast, all easily accessible. We certainly hope to return to Ty Moch Bach and Pembrokeshire.

“Comfortable, quiet and well fitted out cottage is a great touring location.”

Prior to our arrival we had good communications with the owners which helped with advise on where to food shop, etc. We are a mature ( is 60 mature? ) who like to tour around an area by car and so a central location is important so that we could head north and south. The cottage was certainly big enough for four but very comfortable for two. It is on the end of a quiet complex of buildings and so there was no traffic noise or other disturbances. The cottage was very well fitted out so we never felt that we needed anything extra.
