The hotel is a very nice one. Mesured with the low season (Dezember 2012) the service was good and given with enthusiasm. Breakfast was served personally according to our choice. The beds were wonderfull to sleep on (matresses!). The view from the terasse of the old palace (breakfast) is splendid.

Room Tip: Ask for a big room (some are a bit - only a bit - small

we went to Leonidio for 3 days and none of us had gone before. we were surprised with Leonidio but especially with the hotel. The building is historical and Irene is always there to answer our questions and take care of us (food reservations, information about Leonidio, suitcases, breakfast). the whole building is very clean, the breakfast is delicious and home made, and the architecture makes you feel you are in another century. Not to mention what a value for money it was!
we are going back for sure!!!

Thanks for everything,

Anna&Vassilis

Marvellous fully equipped, recently renovated old mansion, inside the heart of Leonidion village. Service that lacks nothing of 5* resorts, splendid breakfast, quick internet. The hotel manager (Eleni) provides her best services accompanied with a big smile. Normal prices.
The hotel is situated in the heart of Leonidion, a small but picturesque village. Lots of excursion possibilities around it (need of a car though, public transportation might be rare).

Highly recommended. I am going definately back!!!!!

We were for business in Leonidio with my brother last January. The welcoming was warm, the rooms were nice, the breakfast was great. The personel advised us very well about places to visit and who to contact and were to go to eat. We had a room with 2 bedrooms, great to be quite. An really good value for the price.

My husband and I are frequent travellers in Greece – both on the islands and on the mainland. We have consequently stayed in many different hotels throughout the country, - some bad, some good – and some really jewels!! Hotel Hatzipanayoti in Leonidio is one of these jewels – it is a truly wonderful hotel. Leonidio is a bit off the beaten track, - you find this town on the east coast of Peloppones. It is not a sea-side town, but it is only a five minute drive to get down to the sea. But if you drive in-land the mountains are absolutely fantastic – very wild with narrow, winding roads and numerous goats!

We were travelling with Greek friends who had heard about this hotel, - otherwise we would never have been so lucky as to find it, I guess.

The hotel used to be an old mansion, owned by a rich ship-owner. It has been renovated into a wonderful hotel furnished in Greek style, and with all the comfort guests require these days. It opened only about six months ago. All the 15 rooms are different, from small cosy ones till spacious rooms with tall ceilings. All very nicely furnished with modern bathrooms. The courtyard was spacious with a gate leading out to a quiet alley. Lots of space to sit out-doors enjoying the sunset and the fantastic mountains.

In addition to being a very charming and comfortable hotel, we were especially well taken care of by a young lady named Helen, - a lawyer who had come back to her native town and had taken on the job to run this hotel – which she did almost singel-handed when we stayed there. As we were there in January we certainly were a bit off-season! But we were welcomed with such a warm hospitality, and this young lady did everything possible to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The breakfast was very good with freshly squeezed orange juice (which strangely enough is quite rare to have in Greek hotels – they usulaly use canned orange juice even though the trees outside are full of ripe oranges….), the choice of every kind of cooked breakfast, fresh cakes, good coffee….All cooked and served with a smile!
We had planned to stay one night – but decided to stay two nights – which is a good recommendation in itself!
When we asked the first night if we could sit in the breakfast room in the evening to have a picnic supper (we had had too much for lunch to face another hot meal that night…) – Helen refused us to use the paper plates and plastic glasses which we had brought (we were on a tour around the Peloppones) – but insisted on laying the table for us with proper wine glasses, plates, cutlery…. Nothing was any trouble. And would we like coffee? We felt we very really guests in her house – not «only» hotel guests….

We truly hope to be able to visit this gem of a hotel again sometime, - and if any reader of the Trip Advisor happens to travel in this area – you now know where to stay!
