Had the place to ourselves, nice to come close to these reptiles, our young girls got to touch and learn about something new. Nice morning out!

“So much fun and learnt a lot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2013

We almost skipped Croc City because we could not figure out how to find the place - neither GPS nor Google Maps could route us there using the address provided on the website. However, if you can find the Lion Park, it is exactly 2.5km further down the park and it is definitely worth the visit while you are already in the area. We spent about an hour there, but you could spend a bit more time (especially if you wanted to eat, and I'm sure it would take a lot more time if you had kids).
We got to a hold a baby Nile crocodile, wrap a seven foot boa around our necks, and hold a tarantula (and take our own photos of them all - no souvenir photos or fees for any of it!), and we learnt so much about the different species, science and medical advancements using animal venoms, and other fascinating information. You finish with a tour around the grounds, seeing the Nile crocodiles.
Amazing day, with the real highlight being able to handle the snakes, crocs, and tarantulas!

“Nice little place!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2013

So we stopped by Gator City after we finished at the Lion Park. The two places are very close to each other on opposite sides of the road.

We were quite surprised to find the place empty! We literally had the place to ourselves except for the staff. Despite that, they still managed to fire up the braii and we had lunch there, which was very good! They do Crocodile Burgers and Crocodile Steak! I good use for any crocodiles that pass away! A tremendous thunder and lightning storm passed over us, so we dived into their inside enclosures where they have plenty of deadly snakes to look at.

The guide let the wife hold a little lizard and a not so deadly snake. I don't like touching things like that so I was happy to just take the photos!

After the storm had passed over, we went to look at the crocodile ponds. They have a number of them, and we saw tonnes of Crocodiles. There was plenty of information about them. The grounds were very good, kept well.

Would recommend it popping by here if you're in the area seeing the Lion Park.

“Fun place. Was here as a kid and its better now.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

As a kid you could reach into a tank and pull out a baby croc to hold. Nowadays the place is much larger with a full restaurant and picnic area. You gte to hold a croc in a bit more controlled environ with the guide looking after you. The guide then takes you around to see the variety of snakes etc. before going outside to see the various age groups of crocs...from 2-4 year old to 60+ year old crocs. Fun place. There is also a small shop with a few curio's and snacks. The restaurant makes some fantastic pizza.
