A friend from Australia and I were traveling and I wanted to show her Drumheller. Based on other reviews we booked the Newcastle Country Inn. Clarence and Judith Swinimer are excellent hosts. The rooms are roomy and well appointed, and each has a full bathroom. Our room had a fridge which came in handy. The rooms are very quiet. There is ample parking, and the restaurant recommendation was spot on. The breakfast in the morning was ample, with lots of coffee, always a welcome sight. Thank you Judith and Clarence. Good value for the price! Would return in a heartbeat!

Booked our rooms at the Inn before we even read any of the reviews and we were delighted with our experience. Judith and Clarence were the perfect host(ess) with information, with great breakfasts and winning smiles. It was a pleasure meeting them. Beds were very comfy and the whole inn was spotless. Recommend!

We stayed here for two nights while we explored the Drumheller area. Our room was very pleasant and spotlessly clean! The whole Inn is clean and welcoming. It was a self serve breakfast with a good variety of cereals, toast and fresh fruit salad. Judith and Clarence are friendly, welcoming and professional.

I actually stayed in June 2013 (not July) but realized I hadn't written a review yet and wanted to make sure I did. My co-workers and I stayed here while filming a documentary in the area. I had to call a couple of times to push back our arrival time and the hosts were so accommodating of our schedule, even as it got later and later. We ended up not getting in until probably after 11pm, but they were there waiting for us to get us settled and make us comfortable. The rooms were clean, well-kept, and the beds comfortable. Breakfast items were provided in the morning and the kitchen set-up made everything feel very homey. We were only there one night, so were very appreciative of the hosts' flexibility with our schedule. I'm staying again this Sept. 2014 and look forward to it!

We were traveling across BC and Alberta and at the last minute called Newcastle from the road to see if there was an available room. We had never stayed there before, and from the greeting on the phone until we stepped into our room, it was a pleasant experience. The friendly hosts, the IMMACULATELY clean room, and the comfortable bed made this the best place we stayed on our road trip. It's a little off the beaten path, but I highly recommend a stay here to anyone traveling trough Drumheller.

Judith and Clarence were a delight! Terrific hosts, conversationalist. They've done their share of international travelling as have we so LOTS of stories to share. The hotel they've been running for 17 years is charming, SUPER clean, great amenities and an easy drive through residential area (don't take the google map route through the industrial zone on South Railway it'll make you feel that you're headed to 'the wrong side of town' - go by way of 3rd Ave then onto Newcastle Trail).

Room Tip: I'd pick a room where the window does not open to the smoking deck. It was no problem for us sin...

Thank you to the hosts, Judith & Clarence. As a family of four, We book the Newcastle Country Inn each year for our family gathering in the area. We will be returning again and again to the Country Inn. Yes, all the reviews are correct; it is lovely, personable, clean and provides exceptional assistance. The hosts work hard to make you feel right at home in their home. We found the Country Inn Thru Tripadvisor and we are very grateful. It makes our family trip even more special.

Room Tip: Judith will find the best room for you. They are warm, welcoming and so helpful.
