The exhibits are very well done with a lot of good information.
Considering the quality of the museum I think the pricing is very inexpensive.

It is possible to tour the outside trails on one's own but I think the guided tour is worthwhile.
I partook of the Seven Wonders of the Badlands and found it very interesting.
The touris 1 km long with a few hills but should be easily handle with a slightly moderate effort.

I arrived at opening and it was fairly easy to tour the museum but by noon the place was packed.

If you're going to spend any time outside bring your bug spray or buy some from the gift shop.
The mosquitoes are plentiful. It bears repeating, WEAR INSECT REPELLANT on the trails!

Great place to go...they have done an awesome job at showing off the dinosaurs in all their glory. Very much worth the trip out, plan to send at least 1 1/2 hr seeing the museum.

“What an Amazing Experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

We definitely recommend this museum to anyone who wants to learn about dinosaurs and prehistory.
Well-organized and with a lot of stuff for all ages.
Just to tour the inside of the museum can take at least two hours.
Go outside and have as much fun as you do indoors.
We only had three hours to spend in the museum and it was not enough.
Budget at least four hours.

“Too many tourists”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2013

One of the things I was really looking forward to seeing while visiting Banff and area was this museum. The museum itself was great. My boys would have went crazy if we had a chance to visit when they were small when they were really into dinosaurs. Although they were teenagers during our visit they still thought it was cool. Unfortunately we were there during July and the amount of rude tourists ruined our visit.
My husband visited there in 2002 and said there was not too many people then. We cut the visit to the museum short due to the amount of rude adults, who do not know what waiting a turn means. Cutting in front of children, pushing them with their bodies like they did not even see them. My kids were 14 and 12 at the time, kind of hard to miss.
I did enjoy the first half of my visit and would love to go back but it would have to be in the off season. I know tourist attraction, but we had already been through 6 days of packed tourist attractions and Drumheller was our worst experience in the week we were in Alberta. And not because we were toured out. Unfortunately it was not just the museum, guess we went on the wrong day. A camera with flash would be helpful.
