“Not long enough”

My husband and I stayed at the Inn for two nights over a July weekend. The location is ideal for exploring the downtown and surrounding river area on foot as well as to cap off your explorations with great food (Athens Restaurant was a recommendation of Zeke's which we were not disappointed with!)
The Inn is simply beautiful and the hospitality is outstanding. Immediately upon our arrival, Zeke was greeting us warmly and filling us in on the little secrets of the town and area. (He was absolutely correct on everything!) This was followed with a tour of the spectacular house which included some beautiful art created by local artists and a peek of the different (all luxurious!) guest rooms.
Our guest room was in the lower turret. It was a large, comfy yet cozy room with everything you could need or want. It was very quiet and the bed was heavenly!
My husband had one of Zeke's outstanding breakfasts (egg/portobello mushroom/asparagus) which he was thrilled with and we were very promptly (and very gratefully!) delivered thermoses of coffee in the morning when we called up for it.
The beauty of the Inn and the warmth (and knowledge of area and attractions!!!!!) from our hosts without a doubt made it a highlight of our visit to Drumheller!

We stayed at the Heartwood Inn &were extremely disappointed. Their "Loft" was gravely misrepresented as it is a lack lustre apartment that hasn't been refurbished since the 60's. And they have the audacity to charge $150 per night for a run down apartment! We were promised a Hydro Sonic treatment due to a previously poor experience, but when we tried to book on our arrival, they could NOT accommodate us! Zeke, was extremely rude to my husband when we walked into the dining room. We had not even sat down when he DEMANDED my husband remove his cap. We are in our 30's and know the rules of a dining room, thank you! We DO NOT recommend this excuse for a friendly Inn. Stay at the Ramada if you want friendly service!

Our group (some from out of province) chose the Heartwood Inn for our recent retreat/management meetings in Drumheller as it seemed to have everything that we required for our meetings. We were pleasantly surprised to find accommodations of this caliber outside an urban centre and we could not have selected a more perfect setting and location for our meetings.... The Inn has a number of rooms (all uniquely different one from the other); however, exquisitely decorated and charming. We had full use of the inn: the meeting room on the main floor, adjacent to the dining area, and the cozy lounging room at the back (with fireplace) was a great place for our group to congregate during the off times. The meals prepared by chef extraordinaire Zeke Wolf were absolutely delicious... the service excellent! The area around the hotel was equally charming and we even had a gathering at the firepit one of our evenings. I would without hesitation recommend this Inn to any of my friends or work colleagues as a great meeting location. Thank you Patrice and Zeke ... I will be back!

Spend three days at the Heartwood Inn and Spa in Drumheller - I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and welcoming attitude our hosts (Patrice and Zeke) demonstrated during our stay.

We had days filled with business presentations and the inn provided us with everything we needed. The contingent (six of us) all ranted and raved about the amenities and service.

Food was great too...

Just spent a weekend at the Inn and Spa at Heartwood and our experience was more than we could ask for! The "Chancel" were we stayed was separate from the house and had everything we needed to feel like home. It was very tastefully decorated and we really enjoyed having a patio in the back with firepit and BBQ to use. We took advantage of the spa which was wonderful and respectfully done. We cooked our meals except for breakfast the last morning we ate in the restaraunt and had Zeke's famous fruit stuffed french toast .AMAZING! We were treated top notch by the owners Zeke,Patrice and all their staff. We would definately recommend the Inn at Heartwood to anyone who wanted to experience a great relaxing place to stay.

Just got home yesterday after having spent 2 nights in "The Chancel" with my mom, sisters and sister in law. It is the perfect little cottage for a girls weekend. The "cottage" is very prettily decorated, quaint and cozy and painted with lovely warm colors. Even though the kitchen is a little small, we were able to sit 5 of us at the table for 2 evening dinners. The kitchen is stocked with pretty much everything you need! There is a 2-sided fireplace between the two sitting areas where one room houses a murphy bed, and the other a pull-out sofa bed. The bathroom has a nice corner jacuzzi tub, and a wonderful red heat lamp in the ceiling, which is really appreciated! We thoroughly enjoyed having the back cemented patio and grassy area (complete with fire pit and an ample supply of firewood) all to ourselves, as well as use of a BBQ. We also took advantage of their spa, and had massages, scrubs and pedicures. All of us were very pleased with our treatments! The hosts, Patrice and Zeke were absolutely wonderful, and very gracious hosts. Friendly, helpful and easy and interesting to visit with. And I couldn't "leave" without saying that Zeke makes the BEST fruit-stuffed french toast we have EVER had. We think the best in Canada, but he's happy with the best in Alberta. We were able to see 3 of the other rooms at the Inn and Spa, and they also looked very cozy, comfortable and pretty. We will be coming back to Drumheller for another girls' weekend at some point in the future, and will definitely be staying in the Chancel cottage again. Would highly recommend it for 2 or 3 couples, or a group of women like we did!

Upon arrival, I was given an upgraded room from the one that was booked. I was then treated to a massage that was pleasantly more of a therapeutic massage than I was expecting. The spa treatments melted my stress away and then the Jacuzzi tub in my room finished me off. The Inn has a very homey, warm and friendly atmosphere with all the authentic creaks of a 100 year old house. The antique furnishings polish off the look wonderfully.
