Quiet, comfortable, clean place to stay with friendly hosts and a fantastic breakfast! Large rooms in a historic house with lots of character. Stuffed french toast with homemade plum compote and maple syrup. The best hot coffee anywhere and fresh OJ.

Very cozy, friendly place. Beautiful rooms, helpful staff and at a very reasonable price. The rooms are all very "bed and breakfast-y" with lots of character. After a long day of hiking and exploring we came back to relax in our jacuzzi tub. On top of it all the owner is a wonderful cook. Try his breakfast!

Hi and thanks for your review. It's nice to hear from satisfied guests who feel our Inn has the ambiance of a bed and breakfast. We are in fact an Inn, where Zeke's French Toast breakfast is available most mornings in the summer months served 'family' style in our dining room. All our rooms have their own private bathrooms and some rooms - like yours even have jetted tubs. Our off season rates are just starting up and it's a fantastic time to come to Drumheller, tourists have mostly gone home and the days are still hot but the nights cool off. Patrice Wolf owner

This is a wonderful place to stay in Drumheller! The rooms were very clean and comfortable and I really liked how we got a key to the back door so you could come and go as you please, even if getting in late. You have to have the breakfast in the morning! The stuffed french toast might be the best breakfast food I've ever had! I would highly recommend this hotel!!

This is an excellent inn and offers service above and beyond the chain hotels. They helped us plan our day in Drumheller and truly accomodated our every need. The room amenities are wonderful and we highly recommend the Heartwood. Their high rating is well earned and well deserved!

My husband and I only stayed one night, but slept very well, the room was comfortable and roomy. We were fortunate enough to be served Zeke's famous stuffed french toast the following morning. It was to die for! The dining area became home to wonderful conversation, as there was a couple from the United States and The Netherlands also staying there that evening. My Husband was also lucky enough to get a few tips from Zeke on his golf swing.

Patrice and Zeke are wonderful hosts, they do their best to make your stay a memorable one. They offer wonderful advice on places to go, things to see and places to eat.

We look forward to returning to The Heartwood Inn and Spa for a longer period of time in the future.

Zeke and I appreciate your kind review very much. We pride ourselves on comfortable beds, quiet surroundings and a relaxed and laid back attitude and love it when guests notice. And even after 7 years I still ask him to make me french toast in the mornings... it is good! We hope you'll stay a little longer next time the fall is a beautiful time to visit Drumheller, crowds have gone home and the weather is still marvelous. Patrice Wolf owner

We now tell everybody to try the small B&Bs before the big "chain hotels". The Heartwood confirmed our beliefs. We were able to chat with the owner whose advice about restaurants and activities was exactly right every time. We loved our stay in Drumheller.

This review is long overdue. I stayed here a few years ago and it is a charming B&B. At the time, I worked for a sister hotel which granted us a lower rate (I think it was 50% off or something). We also called the owner to let her know we'd be arriving late. We probably got there at 11PM and she was still waiting up for us! I felt pretty bad about that, but it's still nice to see.

We were told that they had a small group in the B&B so they had given us the private room outside. It's basically a detached garage but completely renovated with a bed, sitting area with a TV, a HUGE bath/shower, and a private toilet. I had called the day before to inquire if we could stay for two nights instead of one, and she obliged. Then, when we got there, we learned that she was giving us the room for free for both nights! It was quite amazing to learn.

We didn't hang around the B&B much, so I can't say much for the food or anything else. We left early each morning and grabbed breakfast, lunch, and dinner all out and about. The bed was a double so it was a bit smaller than we're used to, but that was fine.

The shower/bath is in the main room area (the only private area in our room was the toilet) so if you're staying as a family or with friends, this specific room might not be best for you. I was with my boyfriend at the time, so it wasn't a big deal for us.

Great place, great staff! Will be back one day!

Thank you for your review of our Honeymoon cottage. We appreciate knowing when people will be arriving late so we are not worrying - our latest checkin was 4am from Australia. The honeymoon cottage is actually an old miners shack and has been completely renovated to provide the bride and groom with a romantic - more private room. The room has a queen bed and can only accommodate 2 people. Patrice Wolf owner
