“Great fun for the kids”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

It's $3/person to climb the stairway inside the great big dinosaur and well worth it. They have decorated the interior with replica fossils and designs that thrill the kids. The stairs are solid and sturdy and there is a bench at about 1/2 way up if you need a break from the climb. When you reach the mouth you can pose for pictures safely behind the plexiglass and throw some coins into the open mouth for luck. You have a great view of the town, the hills near the museum, and the swimming complex and the public splash park below (makes a nice break for the kids after a hot day in the Badlands). Downstairs is tourism office where you can find answers to all your questions and a variety of free maps and brochures (great for scrap booking) as well as some fun souvenirs and decent public restrooms. The Dino is closed when the office is closed so if this is on your 'must do' list, make sure you drop by before they close up for the day.

Worlds largest dinosaur is basically a gift shop with a 300 ft tall hollow dinosaur in front. Its great to walk up and take pictures from the mouth and kids love to have their pictures taken with it.

“unique view from above”
Reviewed August 31, 2012

This is a very unique attraction given the height and location of it but due to the fact they do not monitor how many people go up at the same time, it can get extremely crowded. It is all stairs to get to the top and you ill often get caught halfway up waiting for people to come back down as the mouth opening does not hold that many people. Worth seeing once

This dinosaur at the tourist information centre dominates the town. It's amazing and offers great photo opportunities. The info centre is well stocked and there is a good fossil shop nearby
