This motel is by far the worst I have ever been too.
I work in a hotel and know that the standard of quality should be 10 times better then my stay here.
First, even though we were the last reservation(made a week prior to going) to arrive the front desk person was not prepared and took about 15minutes to find a room for us and get us in the system.
On arriving to our room we noticed that the connecting door to the room behind ours had the latch completely broken off, thankfully the room behind us was being used as storage.
the rooms however were clean but definitely falling apart (a board was coming off on one of the walls)
at about 4 in the morning our neighbours above us came home and we could hear everything they were doing and could hear their conversations including the one persons snore. We were shocked that even though there was only 2 cars in the whole parking lot that they would put us right next to each other.
Also through out the night the A/C would make running water noises, the fridge would click on and off and the pipes would make noises as well.
Also the night shift worker scared us by knocking on our door at about 11pm and then proceeding to try and get in our room, then we were woken up at 9am by housekeeping knocking on our door (even though check out was at 11 and we were only staying the one night). When I asked the manger about this to see maybe if the person who checked us in actually forget to say what room we were in we were surprised to find out that she had put us in the computer and that there was no reason why the two staff members knocked and/or tried to get in our rooms.
Needless to say I will not stay there again nor will I recommened it to anyone.

Checkin has improved for the guests because we have experienced staff. In connecting rooms the locks have been replaced. The noises from heating occur because of hot water system and it cannot be avoided when heating system is working. Many of the A/C's have been replaced in 2010. This unfortunate stay could have been avoided if the guest would have contacted the front desk staff or manager. We would have been more than willing to help this situation.

What a great little place ! Didnt look much from the outside ,infact couldnt locate the office to start with due to renovations in their lobby but the staff made up for it.The 2 lovely ladies on front desk were great as was the friendly Indian gentleman at night. As another person commented the "little" Scottish lady was like a guide book for the area. Both ladies laughed and joked with us and were left feeling like we were part of a family not just another number in their long line of guests. It may not be the most modern or best looking hotel but I wont be staying anywhere else when we visit Drumheller again next year.To be made to feel really welcome in a hotel and feel like you are the most important person there speaks more for me than any fancy decor.Well done Econolodge, who ever gives your staff their customer service training was worth every penny you spent on it.

Paid #180 CAD for ONE night. The room was on main floor. The entrance way was DIRTY, the walls were dirty, there was hair in the bathtub - overall it WAS NOT CLEAN.

The celing in the bathroom was caving in with a large crack running just over the toilet / bathtub. Water would drip constantly from this crack throughout the night.

The guests in upstairs units could EASILY be heard, especially when moving about the room. Needless to say, our sleep was not a comfortable one. We could not wait to get out of there.

The motel advertises that it recently went renovations in 2007 - they still have a long way to go in our opinion as it was essentlially a dump.

The hotel has been undergoing renovations constantly to improve the quality of stay for the guests in the last two years. We have improved our housekeeping service and have experienced room attendants which have been properly trained. If a guest enters a room and feels that it is unsatisfactory I would encourage them to inform the front desk and we will try to rectify the situation.

We enjoyed our stay at the Econo Lodge. It was close to everything... the camp site where our son,daughter-in-law and beautiful granddaughters were camping, food ,gas, shopping etc.
The wee Scottish( not Irish) lady at the econo lodge was a keeper! She was great at knowing where to find anything you were looking for, her directions were right on the mark. We would stay there again for sure!

Bit of trouble finding the hotel but a quick telephone call provided directions.Looked nice from the outside but the Lobby was under reconstruction. The office was a guest room which was a bit small.Very reasonably priced which included a continental breakfast. The rooms were clean and had refridgerator,micro-wave,tv/cable and coffee making. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful and the lovely Irish one provided us with all the information we needed to enjoy our visit to Drumheller.I would recommend this hotel for anyone ,although the Lobby situation isnt the best the staff and the roms make up for this.I will definately visit again and use this hotel, hopefully all the work will be finished then.
