Incredibly well organized, entertaining, informative, fun. Make the day your own - history buffs will love the train memorabilia and the museums in Big Valley. Sing along with the cowboy who travels from coach to coach. Enjoy the scenery from your assigned seat, from the open air viewing cars or, just hang out in the saloon if that's more to your liking. Eat to your heart's content at the Country Dinner buffet - there is lots of food, simple fare, but good quality - can't beat Alberta Beef :-) Popovich was a convincing cowboy crooner who we enjoyed immensely. After seeing him entertain, am hoping to get to Red Deer and attend the dinner theatre he & his wife host. The folks we encountered in Big Valley were a joy, and Mr. Gabriel Dumont an impeccable host. A memorable afternoon with my family, and I would go again, maybe to experience the murder mystery or one of the on-board dining experiences (without the kids.)
