As a vegetarian I am always looking for tasty food. Well, I have found paradise! The textures, spices and broths ROCK. Plus their message is simple...LOVE... two sweet woman cooking up a storm. Sometimes veggies get stuck in the curry rut...but not here, you will be pleasantly surprised. YUM YUM YUM YUMMMMMMM It's quite lovelt too. Everything is veggie so don't take a person that is stuck on red meat!!

This nice little place is in Crest Plaza in Burnaby near New Westminster. It's an unlikely location for a veg restaurant but they've been there for years so must be doing something right.

There's lots of parking. This place is closed Sundays and also closes for about a month when the family goes on holidays. The restaurant is small, open all day from about 11 am to 9 pm but if it's quiet they may close early. They give 10% off to Earthsave members with a valid card, but the prices are already reasonable. It has been recently redecorated.

The food is fresh and prepared quickly, with choice of rice or rice noodles. Generally the dishes are less greasy than Chinese food.

Some of our favourites: spinach/tofu soup, and fresh spring rolls which come with a wonderful peanut sauce. The house combination soup is best eaten at the restaurant as it is served in a sizzling pot with a flame underneath, very fresh. The mixed veg curry and eggplant curry are both good, and the curry sauces are different. Other recommendations are lemongrass tofu and ginger "chicken". My husband likes the fried spring rolls (a bit too greasy for me) and the garlic beef -- very garlicky.

The Vietnamese coffee is very good, nice with a slice of "Chi Cake". They have a cooler full of drinks, no alcohol. The prices are very reasonable. We often order extra dishes to have variety and take some home.

We're repeat customers here, and have introduced their food to non-veg friends who love it! One person even took the food home to her husband who didn't notice it was "fake meat". We like it as the food is fresh and flavourful, This is not like a Buddhist Vegetarian restaurant as they do use garlic. Definitely worth a try.

This is such a neat little restaurant specializing in veggie Vietnamese food. The place has a loyal following and the owners are so helpful and friendly. There are a variety of faux-meats, hot-pots, clay-pots and fresh salad rolls and soups. I recommend the Ginger sauteed faux-chicken(yum). Also Choices is right next door so you can do some healthy shopping to boot! Worth the trip.
