“Wonderful window into the past”
Reviewed February 24, 2012

We take the kids for the carousel - lovingly restored and maintained with unique hand-painted wooden horses - each child chooses their favourite and remembers its name and number between visits! The village itself is really charming though, and the volunteers really make it. We keep discovering new favourites every time we go - last time it was the print shop and the blacksmith. A lovely and realizing day out with kids.

This is a fun spot to visit. Bring the kids. Old turn of the Century shops and artifacts. I love this place.

“Hidden Jewel in Burnaby”
Reviewed February 11, 2012

Very nice historical site you might drive by every day and not even notice. It has a small recreated village and it's highlights are the restored carousel, and a restored urban transit electric trolley.

“More than just a Merry-go-round”
Reviewed February 10, 2012

Ok so they have an awsome merry-go-round here but there is much more. If you watch Pawnstars or Canadian Pickers you will see stuff here that you see on the shows. I came here when I was in school and I just keep coming back. It like walking around in the late 1800's

“Located on Deer Lake not far from Vancouver”
Reviewed February 3, 2012

It offers artistic culture and is a totally unique little village. You will fine some great little cafes to relax and have a cup of coffee then wander into shops that offer art of all different kinds.
