“Excellent food, excellent service!”

We were staying at the hotel and had a coupon for Ebo. The front desk told us we didn't need a reservation because we were staying there. When we went to dinner, the host said they were full. I explained we were staying at the hotel and were told we didn't need a reservation. He said to give him 5 minutes and he would fit us in - and did! During our dinner he came by several times to ask how everything was.
The food was amazing, I had steelhead, hubby had steak. Both were excellent.
We never felt rushed nor ignored - it was a great dinning experience we wouldn't hesitate to repeat.

“New Year's Buffet”

Good selection of appies and desserts. The a la carte choice of Prime Rib left something to be desired though. A little over-priced for $75 but the service was great (thanks Michael!), the room is well appointed and there was no wait. You will probably enjoy this place for dinner if you're staying at the hotel but I don't think I would make a trip otherwise.

“Refined food, exactly like you want it”

There's no such thing as bad food there. The quality and the presentation is beyond any expectations.

“Excellent place for parties!”

The restaurant experience was great.
The staff was very helpful. I have multiple food sensitivities and they have called out their chef to go though a menu with me to customize the dishes. All waiters were very polite and knowledgeable. The food was simply delicious. Substantial portions, everything was freshly prepared, juicy and flavourful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would visit it again.

“Will never eat at EBO again!”

October 13, 2012: We went to EBO to celebrate our anniversary with the idea we will go for drinks and the Casino afterwards. It turned out to be the worst evening out.
When we approached the front desk, we were eventually met by a hostess who asked if we had reservations. The restaurant was empty! When we said no, she casually turned her back on us and gestured over to another hostess/waitress behind the bar to look after us. We should have picked up on the vibe right there and left, but we did not.
Once we were seated about five minutes later a waiter came up to our table greeted us and handed us dinner menus and a wine menu and left. The wine menu had two red wine lists in it missing the white wine list. Eventually we flagged down the waiter and asked for a menu with the white wine list as well.
About 20 minutes or so later, the bread arrived on the table. We finished the bread and still no waiter. When he finally arrived, he asked for our dinner order!!! We still had no drinks! We ordered our dinner and drinks. Eventually, the drinks arrived.
We waited for our dinner, probably another 30 minutes, thought, wow, its finally here as the Manager was serving. However, it was not what we ordered and belonged to another table. By now our drink glasses had been empty and no-one came by to ask if we would like another drink. When the food arrived, almost one hour later, we just wanted to eat and get out of there. When we finished our meal, a waitress came by and asked if would like to look at the dessert menu. We stated no, just give us our bill, let us leave and explained our issues. The waitress advised her Manager, who came by to perform his duty to protect the restaurant from any negativity. I asked if there was a difference in the service you recieve if you have reservations versus not having reservations. His first response was did you have reservations! Well that answered that question. He then started off with an apology and stated a number of employees had called in sick. He went onto state they slowed down the service to provide better service. My wife and I looked at each other puzzled! The Manager insisted they cover the cost of meal and drinks, but we ate the food, therefore we paid for it. The Manager wanted to buy dessert for us, but we politely stated no and that we will go to the Heritage Grill in New Westminster where the service and food is always good!
EBO Restuarant needs to re-visit its customer service training again. We will not be visiting the complex again!
