We stayed at the Delta Conference Centre in Burnaby to visit family/friends for the holidays, and found out stay to be pleasant and enjoyable overall. The hotel is located adjacent to the Grand Villa casino and shares the same covered parking complex with the casino and onsite restaurants etc.

Upon arrival, we didn't notice any Delta hotel signage as the Casino signage dominates. Hotel check in counter looked more like a kiosk than your usual hotel lobby purpose built check in area. Lobby entrance area tends to be busy with heavier foot traffic due to casino customers coming and going etc. However hotel check in staff are warm, friendly, and courteous and provide a nice welcoming experience.

We purchased a package that included a daily breakfast buffet at the Villa Bistro. The buffet includes a good variety of items that are good quality with efficient table and drink service. Certainly a nice step up from your usual continental breakfast room experience at a Holiday Inn express or Best Western. We were quite satisfied in this regard as well.

The room itself is solid. Good size, clean and well appointed and we got a decent view of the trans canada from our upper floor unit. Bathroom and shower were clean and confortable. King bed was comfy and provided a good night's sleep. However, the room furnishings could maybe use a minor refresh, as we noticed some scuffing and scratches on the desk and night stands. Other than that, everything else was fine. Room is finished like your typical Delta and similar to other locations I've stayed.

Overall, this hotel is a great value when considering the reasonable room rates compared to downtown, complimentary parking, convenient location near the Trans Canada Ave Lougheed highway, onsite casino (a positive to many I presume), good variety of quality onsite dining options to choose from, and of course the breakfast buffet package. There's also good shopping options nearby with the revamping of Brentwood Mall as well as Lougheed Mall a bit further east.

Solid stay and would stay again

Our stay was awesome. Excellent price and gorgeous room. Stay on the executive floors if you can!
Room was clean, quiet and bed was so comfortable. Beautiful decor throughout the hotel as well.
Excellent service too!

This hotel is great. It is one the cleanest I’ve seen, and the property is very well taken care of. The room was impeccable, very clean, very low noise (even though it is besides a highway), and with very comfortable bedding. Front desk service is very average with some of them very unfriendly (at least a lady I came across that talked to me like I owed her something). The food at the restaurant (villa for breakfast) was very good and the service superior. I’d definitely try this hotel again.

We stayed in room 503. Patio directly below - noisy guests until well into the night. Earlier in the evening left a message for room service (you're directed to leave a message if they're busy). No one came back to me. Along with a smoking area that you have to walk through when you arrive and you get the picture. Pricey, but if you want somewhere to rest, get room service and not have to put up with smokers, go somewhere else.

The rooms could have been dusted better and there was a ring in our tub from previous guests having a bath. The drawer in our desk kept coming out so we had to jam some paper in it so we wouldn’t run into it. Other then that, it was great.
