My husband, elderly father in law and I stayed two nights in the Campbell River Travel Lodge. The accommodations were adequate and the hot tub was perfectly to our liking - hot! The continental breakfast was also included in our rate too, which was very reasonable. The most outstanding quality, we found was the staff. On our stay in Campbell River, we happened to come across a very friendly, abandoned little cat. We felt so bad as we couldn't take it ourselves and Campbell River does not have an SPCA. I happened to stop at the front desk and by chance mentioned the little cat. Two clerks happened to be there as one was just getting off shift, Nikki. When she heard our concerns, she called her boyfriend and they both went out rescued little "Ginger", cat. I am sorry to say I don't recall the first clerks name, but will always remember both her and Nikki's kind and helpful spirit and just going the extra mile in customer service! You both are very professional and an asset to your company, Thank you!

2 nights was too long in the Travel Lodge>: Beds and pillows are worn out, and the walls and ceilings are thin. U hear everything going on around u. The rooms are out dated and the plumbing needs to be taken care of. I had the worst sleep ever there on my trip to BC.

Room Tip: Higher floors so u don"t hear ppl walking above u, or anything else they r doing

Although we don't live far from Campbell River, my husband had to go there for surgery and I decided to stay until his discharge. From the moment I called the hotel to reserve to the moment we left, we had nothing but a great experience. I asked for and was given a very quiet room near the back (away from the highway). Yes, I could hear someone in the room overhead but it wasn't bad. The breakfast was fine...not much choice but it is included with your room and the coffee was very good. Nice swimming pool (indoor) and well kept grounds. Beautiful waterfront walkway (which I found out is a big circle and about 35 km long). Parking was easy. Due to another health problem, my husbands surgery didn't happen so we had to leave a day early. No problem! We were even asked if we needed anything at all, just ask. The staff were amazing...a friendly smile right from the start and very accommodating.

Room Tip: Maybe try the top floor! We couldn't (for health reasons) but it is quieter.
