We made a trip to Campbell River for this museum, based on the reviews. Well worth the drive from Courtenay! The nicely done exhibits try to present the full scope of local history: Europeans, loggers, farmers, fishermen, First Nations. The First Nations' masks exhibit alone are worth a stop. (Because of the inclusiveness and size, it reminds me of the Four Rivers Cultural Center & Museum in Ontario, Oregon.)
