When we booked our trip , due to the time of year, we were not sure if we would see any Orcas. Thanks to the expertise of Garry we located 2 beautiful pods, one with a baby. We had the whales all to ourselves not like the crowd of boats in Victoria, while all surrounded by the unscarred beauty of Ocean, islands and mountains. We saw lots of wildlife and the 6 hour trip went quick and we did not want it to end. Garry had lots of interesting story's and was very informative about the whales, wildlife and the area. One of the best whale watching trips I have been on, this is # 6.

We had a wonderful 4 hour tour with Garry on the waters of the Pacific Ocean in amongst the beautiful Discovery Islands. He found and then followed Orca for nearly the entire time-what magnificent animals. Bald Eagles , Seals , Pacific Dolphins...you name it we saw it! His knowledge of the area and surrounds were unsurpassed and his tour of the ocean rapids breathtaking.

We spent 2 days with Garry enjoying the extraordinary beauty of Campbell River. Not even the experienced Garry can promise that you will see all of these animals, BUT he works very very hard to make it happen. If the animals are around he will use all his resources to search them out for his guests. We spent a couple of hours respectfully following a pod of orcas. That was an unbelievable experience never to be forgotten. We watched 2 males, 2 females and 2 calves. The following day we saw a black bear, a humpback, and lots of eagles fishing. The ocean rapids are amazing to experience. Most people (including me) have never heard of them. Experiencing them was very exciting and having an experienced captain at the wheel provides lots of fun!!! Spending two days with Garry was terrific and we would love to return to see more whales AND and take a trip to see brown bears. One last comment........you do want to spend the day in a covered boat! If the weather is nice you can view the wildlife on the back deck when you stop. The second day we traveled with Garry the weather was rainy and cold. We were soooooo happy we were not in an open vessel. Thanks Garry for making every effort to bring the beauty of Campbell River and BC to us! Debby and Steve

Our guide Garry went beyond the call of duty this trip, we saw a pod of Orcas, Bald Eagles, Seals and a Humpback whale. Local knowledge is a major factor with this long established Campbell River tour company. Although we come from BC it was well worth the experience, Everyone left happy on this one.
