“Incredible trip!”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

We had the most amazing tour with Garry to see the grizzly bears catching salmon. Well worth the expense. We saw several bears, including a mama with 2 cubs. You are right there with the bears, and have the choice of being in the viewing tower (you stand in it - it has a roof and stairs up to it) or on the ground right near the bears. There are 5 different towers at various spots along the river. First you go in Garry's boat, which holds 12 people. Try to get near a window that opens for pictures, as only 3 of the 6 seats have windows that open. The boat trip is 2 1/2 to 3 hours through very pretty country. Then you transfer to a van and go to the viewing stands over a VERY rough road. During this ride Garry serves delicious sandwiches and cookies, albeit tough to eat while on this road. But no one cares because it is all about the bears. The viewing stands start at about 15 minutes from the boat, but if no bears are at the first one, you move on to the next one. You have a lot of time to see the bears once you find them - about 3 hours on land. On our boat ride back, Garry got word that there were dolphins in the area, and went to find them. We had about 300 dolphins jumping around our boat for about 20 minutes - very cool! We could have stayed longer and Garry would have but one person on our trip had a time constraint so we had to go back for him. I HIGHLY recommend Aboriginal Journeys and Garry for an unforgettable trip!

“Fantastic trip”
Reviewed September 26, 2012 via mobile

The highlight of our Canada trip, we spent a fantastic day trip through the islands to bute inlet on our grizzly bear watching tour. We spent well over an hour watching a bear very close up feeding on the waters edge, all in all a magical experience. We also saw bald headed eagle, harbour dolphins and a sea lion.

“Killer whales, bald eagles, seals and bears...all in one trip!”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

I and my wife, our daughter and her sons ages 5 and 7, took this wonderful tour this summer. We saw a seal and an eagle before we were out of the harbour and orcas within 5 minutes of launch. We were on the water for 6 hours and the whales were with us for at least half of the time. We left them to find eagles, seals and black bears and after that we returned and spent another hour with the orcas. Incredible sights, a great tour guide and a super experience. My grandsons came to me twice to thank me for the great trip. They loved it too. Lunch was included.

“One of the best wildlife trips ever!”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

Outstanding opportunity to see Grizzly's feeding on salmon together with wild(sea)live viewings, with an expert captain Gary who likes to show extra wildlife such as a pod of playing dolphins, and thereby increasing the lenght of the trip without problem. Superb! One of the best wildlifetrips ever.

“The Captain makes sure you have animal sightings to make this the trip of a lifetime!”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

This family owned business cares about giving you a marvelous journey. Captain Gary's experience and respect of these waterways gave us a safe trip filled with wildlife sightings. He knows where to look and the clues that determine probable sightings on land and the ocean. He maneuvered the boat again and again not only to see the wildlife, but to photograph them with the best lighting. The trip to see the Grizzlies was filled with plenty of marine life too. If the animals are out there, he will find them. This was an experience of a lifetime.
