“Amazing trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2012

My best friend was visiting from Edmonton and I felt a great way to showcase the west coast was to take him on a whale watching tour. We arrived in Campbell River just before noon, and most of the boats were out for the morning trip. We inquired about taking an afternoon trip. The nice lady at the desk said if they had enough interest there would be a 2pm trip going out that afternoon, and she would get back to me as soon as she knew. Within 20 minutes she called me back to say the trip was on..

It was an amazing trip, we saw transient Killer whales in the process of hunting something to eat. Even got to see one breach! Next we saw some huge Sea Lions, they looked like Jabba the Hut. The Dolphins came next and were so fun to watch. They jumped and played in the wake from our boat, doing flips and jumps out of the water. Just as the dolphins moved off we heard the breath of something much larger and were thrilled to find a couple of humpback whales swimming by.. Our poor tour guide forgot his camera and said that was the reason we had such a great trip.
I can't wait to go back next year for another adventure!

“Seriously AH-MAZ-ING...saw more wildlife in one tour then I have seen my whole life growing up in BC”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2012

The title says it all, The company is 100% behind you and wants you to have the best time. , even guarantees sightings. In one 7 hour tour we got to see a whole heck of a lot of BC. We saw two pods of killer whales (transient and resident) a pod of over 100 dolphins, as well as bears, sea lions, and ocean rapids! So worth your money!

“highlight of our holiday in Canada”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2012

Amazing tour where we saw a huge amount of wildlife in their natural habitat, transient orca, black bears, hundreds of dolphins and bald eagles. Officially the tour lasts about 6 hours but the guides dont worry too much about that, they want you to see as much as possible so ours ended up being 7 hours. Our guide was Kurt, he was extremely knowledgable on the wildlife and had a great sense of humour, even though he had probably done the tour hundreds of times he was still really enthusiastic and seemed as excited as we were. Even the lunch was nice, fresh and healthy which was a pleasant suprise. If you are on vancouver Island you have to do this tour. We combined it with the bear tour which was also excellent, because of the time of year we had to do this up at telegraph cove but that was worth the journey.

“Humpback and Orca collide - once in a life time?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2012

We had a genuinely unforgettable day out with our three children (12 and 10 year old twins). As with so many other wildlife viewing experiences it started quietly - one bald eagle in 2 hours - but with Aaron's keen eyes we eventually saw a black bear on the shore and another swimming in front f us shortly thereafter. Radio communication promised us Orca, hundreds of dolphin and humpback to come.

We had lunch watching the mother and calf humpback and just as we were about to leave them the Orca started to head in their direction. Aaron was excited but fairly sure there would be no encounter. Then it began to look inevitable and suddenly there was some thrashing on the surface and moaning of a kind that was unlike any whale I'd heard on TV as the Orca tried to split mother and calf. Mixed emotions at seeing such a rare sight but the Orca eventually gave up.

They weren't finished hunting though - within 10-20 minutes one got a sea lion but it to got away and we saw it gathering its wits in the shallows. We finished off with a display from some 300 dolphin on the way back.

Not for the faint hearted but while some day I may see bubble netting or a spectacular display of breaching - which are much more visible - this really was an incredibly lucky trip and one that will live with us all despite so much of it happening so fast and under water.

A most sincere thank you from all five Robertsons.

“An experience you wont forget”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2012

We spent a wonderful two days with Jack and his team, on both the whale watching and grizzly bear tour. All the staff were utterly delightful and very knowledgeable. Jack in particular really went out of his way to help us and ensure we got to see all the wildlife, of which he is very passionate about. I couldn't recommend their integrity and professionalism more highly.
