Everything about Kingfisher says relaxation- the beach-front setting, the natural landscape, outdoor pool and restaurant with ocean view. Something happens when I get there, I stop running and going through my to-do list. Some days I get so lazy, I don't even swim, just float in the very warm outdoor pool or watch eagles from the outdoor hot tub. Everyone is moving slower and talking quieter, you just can't help it. I am never ready to leave that place.
My favorite of the spa treatments is Hydropath, especially on a cool day or after skiing - almost 2 hrs of warm massaging waters. If you love water, it's heaven. The pedicure and facials includes extensive massages; it's well worth the money.
The restaurant is still great, but not as elaborate as few years ago; on the plus side they added few inexpensive lunch menu items. The food is healthy, they use local seafood and produce and organic eggs, so its very flavorful. I found dinners pricey. The Sunday brunch is fabulous and a must!
Can't say anything about rooms- I live close enough to go for a day. It's the place where I go by myself or with a girlfriend to relax and unwind, especially after "vacations" to Disneyland or NYC.More
