Stayed here for just the one night, but would definitely stay again! We were given a chocolate bar on arrival, and shown to our beautiful, spacious room. The place was beautiful and unique. We also really enjoyed walking around the bird sanctuary just behind the hotel.

Stayed two nights in September.George, the owner, greeted us and even showed us to our room and showed us the facilities in the room.Had a room facing the bird wildlife area and even though the lodge is on the main road and the train line is close by we didn't hear any noise. The room had two Queen beds and a mini kitchen, was spotlessly clean and above all the beds were a joy to sleep in.George helped us with our sightseeing needs and gave us a couple of places to visit we didn't know about which was a great help.Would highly recommend this lodge to anyone who is staying in this area.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the wildlife area

We stayed here for one night but wish we could have stayed longer..We arrived and were greeted before we even got to the door..Easy check in and were even given a choice of a delicious German chocolate bar.. George the innkeeper even escorted us to our room and showed us where to park..The room was clean and spacious and very comfortable..A fun looking mini golf course on site but had no time to use..Price was right and would recommend for sure!

We were in Cranbrook visiting relatives for 4 days and chose ELL based on Trip Advisor reviews. We didn't get to spend much time at the Lodge itself (and didn't get the chance to play the fun-looking mini golf on site), but we were very comfortable and found the amenities spotlessly clean and modern. The heated tile floor and towel rack in the bathroom were unexpected luxuries! The location is nice and we enjoyed the view overlooking the sanctuary. We didn't think we'd use the mini kitchen initially, but it turned out nice to have for making our own breakfasts and coffee/tea. Very comfy bed with good-quality bedding. Overall, a great stay. We would definitely come back again and can highly recommend the ELL.

Room Tip: All rooms overlook the lake and face away from the road so are nice and quiet.

It is on a pretty spot, near a lake. When we arrived, George provided us two glasses of wine, along with some Peruvian chocolate. The rooms had utensils and appliances for cooking. The bathroom floors were heated. For breakfast, we drove to Hot Shots, where they served a superb breakfast.

What a wonderful place to stay! The owners are obviously very proud of their establishment and go above and beyond to ensure that you're welcomed and comfortable. Our unit was incredibly clean and well outfitted, and the beds and towels were divine. We were travelling with a dog, and found a water bowl and dog towel provided for us. Our ground floor room opened onto the Elizabeth Lake (a popular birding spot) walking trail, which we walked on in the evening and where I ran with the dog in the morning. Truly a great place to stay, and the room price was more than reasonable.

Stayed two nights on the September long weekend. The room was spotless. The beds very comfortable. What made our stay memorable was the the superb customer service. We accidentally broke a bottle of wine(bought elswhere) on the deck, not only was it cleaned up immediatley, but the owner gave us another bottle from his private stock. Requested extra coffee for the coffee maker, got a pound of Salt Spring Organic coffee beans, grinder and filters. When I offered to pay for the coffee and wine, was told "compliments of the house". We can not recommend this place highly enough!
