Went to St.Eugene's twice this summer. The building is an older native school that has been renovated as a hotel. It is very grand looking from the front and has a sandstone appearance and beautifull landscaping. The flowers are lovely and the grounds are well maintained even from the back view where the golf course is, We stayed in the newer addition the first time and had a separate balcony with a view of the front grounds, It was nice to see the older building lit up at night. Ihe second time we stayed in the deluxe rooms in the older building with a view of the gold course. We ate at the 19th hole a few times. They have the same breakfast buffet on weekends in the Purcell Grill which is their dining room in the main building, The food was good in the Purcell Grill. If you get a table with a view of the golf course and pool. It is very relaxing to sit there, The casino also has a good cafe restaurant but is dark inside compared to the other restaurants. There is also a lounge in the main building with English food and a free pool table to use. We did 9 holes of golf and got a great deal after 5 pm which included a cart. saw some deer on the 8th hole. Also some big eared bats flying out of the belfry. They are dedicated to keeping them conserved as they are an endagered species, Look at the interpetive centre to get a sense of the history and hardship the native children who went there had to endure.
