Cedar Heights Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #4 of 5 Cranbrook B&B and Inns

My wife and I were on a 10 day holiday, just 'following our noses'. We landed in Cranbrook, planning to stay 2 days, and called this B&B. They happened to have vacancy, and the combination of the lovely home and wonderful hosts, it turned out to be the highlight of our stay, so we extended our stay to 4 days as a result. The rooms were meticulously spotless (and fragrance free - great for those with allergies). The rooms had everything you need and more with lots of room to spread out, and at the same time were also very elegant and well designed. The highlight was the hosts. Eveline and Bill cooked incredibly delicious and healthy breakfasts every morning, and the meals were presented in a beautiful sunroom perfectly situated to look out over Cranbrook. They also provided interesting stories and great information about the area. The biggest compliment is they made you feel like you were their family, and you didn't want to leave! In a very quiet neighborhood, and a wonderful house, we know where we will be staying the next time we are in Cranbrook!

Set in a quiet neighbourhood, well away from (and above) the noise of the commercial strip (so make sure to get directions). A comfortable and very carefully maintained B&B with spacious and well appointed rooms. All the soaps, etc. one needs, plenty of towels and places to hang them, terricloth robes. Wifi with outstanding high speed Internet access (the best I've experienced in a B&B) plus free long distance phone calls to US & Canada. Bill & Eveline provide a substantial hot breakfast and go out of their way to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.

We stayed in the Sydney room, which -- even with an added third bed -- offers more manuvering space than most hotel rooms. Our family of four -- with two teens -- fit in very comfortably. This is among the most workable 1-room arrangements we have ever encountered for a family that needs 3 beds.

Shared with other guests is a large and inviting sitting room with equipment to view VHS and DVD, and a nice library of well over 100 videos. There is also a reasonably sized kitchenette with full size refrigerator, sink, dishwasher (!), toaster oven, microwave, blender, coffe maker -- everything but a stove. A handy setup for family travelers who want to prepare lunch -- even a smoothie -- before heading out for the day. Such amenities, and the big breakfast, make Cedar Heights a very good value.

Room Tip: Sydney room has plenty of space for a family, with separate beds for 2 kids.

We were in Cranbrook and at short notice called this B/B and got in. This was one of the best stays away from home we have had. Eveline and Bill we very friendly and hospitable. Their home was spotless the rooms were better than staying in a hotel and less expensive. In the morning we were treated to a fantastic fruit and pancake breakfast that was excellent. My wife and i wouldn't think twice about staying there again. We thought that the way to describe the stay was by saying it was as nice as staying in our own home only someone else served you and cleaned after you.

We only stayed here for 1 night but we really loved all of it, from the very warm welcome to the tasty cooked breakfast. Bill and Eveline really know how to treat guests. We really liked the conversations and tips for our further travel.

We really do recommend this place, its a home away from home

Greetings from Belgium

In September, my husband and I stayed at the Cedar Heights B&B in Cranbrook & we loved it! Eveline & Bill went out of their way to make us comfortable. They are friendly and helpful. We stayed in a room downstairs that was very clean and quiet with a very pretty, modern bathroom, a nearby common room, a shared kitchenette and a hot tub in the yard. The breakfast was great with lots of fresh fruit and breads and a breakfast crepe. They were very interesting people. We had breakfast at 8:30 in the morning before we continued our journey to the Rockies, but there was a wonderful Irish couple there. We enjoyed talking to the 2 couples so much, it was 11:30am before we left! So much fun! The house is great, with lots of great light and windows and deer wander the streets at night. The restaurant Eveline recommended was delicious - but way too much schnitzel! We would recommend this place to anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cedar Heights. Our hosts, Eveline and Bill, were very helpful. The accommodation was very clean, well appointed, and quiet. Our breakfast was bountiful and delicious. We especially enjoyed our conversation with our hosts and would highly recommend a stay in this B & B.

After reading the reviews for Cedar Heights, my husband & I decided to stay there on our way to Banff. What a good decision! Bill and Eveline are the perfect hosts. The minute you meet them you will know what I mean. We felt immediately "at home" -- only better because at home we're never pampered like that! The place is immaculate and the grounds are delightful. The view from the deck at breakfast was stunning...and did I mention the gourmet food? I didn't know breakfast could be so good. Great fruit, wonderful ham and egg dish with perfectly cooked, fresh asparagus. Yum! Be sure to stay there. You will be in for a treat. Without reservation, I give it (and them) my highest recommendation.
