Enjoyed our time in the museum, found it quite interesting. Didn't realize how much oil exploration took place in Fort St. John. Pictures of the Alaskan Highway construction were great. The hardships people endured were hard to imagine.
We liked it's!

This was a great place to visit. It has a lot of great exhibits. Starts off with some of the dinosaur history in the area, some local First Nations pictures and displays, then explorer trapping history. I especially liked the displays and maps on where the former fort locations were. Outside you can see some very old buildings: an old school, police building and pioneer cabin. Awesome experience. Fort St John doesn't capitalize on it's history enough. It's got lots to share.

Great displays, so many original artifacts, buildings, clothing and other items that allow you to see how life was many years ago. Makes you really appreciate how tough they must have been, and I really appreciate how hard it must have been to create the the community that became Fort St. John.

Great museum, especially for the $6 admission: much more content than I had expected for the price. Friendly staff who were happy to ask questions, and loads of things in the gift stuff. Definitely worth stopping in.
