had a good golf game here last week. hadn't had the opportunity for a few years so was glad we got a game in. it had poured for a few hours but had stopped when we arrived.
rented a cart which apparently helps with the mosquitoes! I am only an average golfer however, I managed well. the great views are a bonus!

judymichael40, thank you for taking the time to post a review and we are glad you enjoyed your time at the Golden Golf Club. We like to joke that it never rains on the golf course and your experience will only help continue this. Thank you again for the kind words and until next time, may the rain stay away during your rounds of golf!

This is a great golf course with beautiful views and fabulous staff.
We booked late and were still able to get a great tee off time. The course seems like a hidden gem in the middle of the mountains. Great value as well.

Every few years we tour the mountain courses of BC, and GGC never disappoints. A great layout with enough of a challenge to keep you focused without feeling that you are in over your head. We prefer to walk and GGC is a nice walk, #10 may have you puffing a bit, but the following holes make it worth the hike. The course was in great condition and the greens roll true. You could pay a lot more for mountain golf, but why? GGC gives you all you could ask for with out he higher $$$ of other mountain courses.

We played the front 9 at 6:30pm in July. I really liked that the fairways were wide and only trees on either side instead of houses or condos. We didn't bring any bug spray, I'd really suggest it. The wind didn't keep up enough to keep the mosquitoes away, especially on the greens. The greens had been plugged so we got 50% off the green fees. The 6th hole was unplayable due to high water of the river, so there was a sizeable detour to a "19th" hole. I'm so glad we got a cart, walking that far in twilight wouldn't have been a good idea. Alot of the fairways are really uneven, not sloped uneven, i mean really bumpy. I was a bit disappointed after reading reviews of the course. Seems like an average course similar to what I have at home (in western Washington).

Spaceboy8, thank you for coming out to the Golden Golf Club and for posting your review. The mosquitoes are certainly starting to come out now (July) as the high river water is starting to recede. With an evening tee time we agree with your suggestion to bring bug spray for the next month or so. Our spare hole "19th hole" is certainly a little bit of a detour but has served us well over the past few years as we can still offer 18 full holes of golf when our 6th hole, along the river, experiences high ground water.

Once again, we thank you for your patronage and for taking the time to post your review.

Golden Golf Club is a few minutes away from Glacier Mountaineer Lodge/Kicking Horse Mountain Resort which is very convenient. You are surrounded by Mountains. The view is spectacular. The Golf Course is in great shape and challenging enough. We would return to this golf club.
