“What a gem!”
Reviewed February 17, 2012

My husband and I stayed at Lynn's B&B for a few days in Feb and skied at Kicking Horse. We were so pleased with everything about the place, the stunning views, the outdoor hottub, the fabulous beds, the decor and interestiing art. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, and guests are welcome to use the whole house. Lynn is a wonderful host, very welcoming and informative about what the area has to offer. The B&B is only a few minutes out of town and just 15 minutes from the ski hill. It was so nice to relax in the hottub after a day of skiiing and enjoy the views and serenity of the mountains. We will definately be back!

This is my third time at Home... I can't say enough about the luxurious beds, fabulous great room, stunning views, hot tub, and of course, the lovely Lynn!!

It is a great place to go for a romantic weekend or a fun weekend with friends... With so much to do in Golden - from downhill and cross-country skiing, to snowshoeing right out the back door!

We too loved the new highland cows, and of course, the boarding horses.

We'll be back!

My wife and I have been to Golden a number of times and Home Lodge is the best place we've stayed. It's close to town and easy to get to, but you feel like you're far from everything. The scenery is absolutely beautiful in all directions. The Lodge is modern, cozy and clean. We took advantage of the hot tub and morning coffee on the front deck while taking in the surrounding mountains. Our bathroom had heated floors and nice shampoo which was a nice treat. Lynn was a gracious and amicable host and served delicious breakfast. She was very welcoming and helpful and made our stay feel special. We can't think of a single poor thing to say about the B&B. We would recommend Home Lodge to anyone and look forward to an opportunity to return.

This was out second trip to Home Lodge and loved every minute of it. Lynn is a wonderful host and fun to talk with. The house is amazing. Heated floors in the bathrooms, very cozy king sized beds and great views from each room. The wood burning fire place adds to the amazing living room. After a long day on the hill it was nice to relax in the hot tub. Breakfast was always good with lots of fresh fruit, coffee and amazing home made fresh muffins each morning. It was really nice to have the run of the house. We'll definitely be making a third trip to visit Lynn and her beautiful home

This was our 5th time staying at Home Lodge. We love the stunning mountain views, the quiet tranquility and the amazing hospitality. Lynn is a fantastic host and makes you feel unbelievably welcome as soon as you walk through the door. We always feel relaxed whether we are enjoying the views from the hot tub, watching movies in the basement, curled up in front of the fire with a book or enjoying a home cooked meal around the table. The bedrooms have great views and comfy beds and there's plenty of space for everyone. We've stayed in both summer and winter, there's so much to do and Lynn knows the area so well that she always has great recommendations and ideas. We'd recommend Home to anyone and have done many times.

So recently was our third stay at home lodge with the ever happy and jubilant Lynn. New for this season were the ever itchy highland cows. We love the cows! Especially Truffle and Ulysses. The winter setting to this lodge is an out of the way, quiet and snow blanketed valley that allows you clear your mind for the next days adventures. Our days were started off correctly with fresh strong coffee lightly sweetened with locally made honey and a good hearty breakfast. The days were spent burning off the calories of the morning bacon at one of the world's best ski hills and then finished off with a 19th run beverage around the wood burning fire place while enjoying the stunning view out the floor to ceiling windows in the living room. The evenings cap off the day with a hot tub and finally a night cap and good conversation. The rooms are beautiful, especially the master suite and it's royalty inspired bathroom. Lynn is always an excellent host and offers the locals secrets (but not all of them). I have been staying in Golden for various reasons for over 30 years and this is by far the best place to stay. I just left a week ago and am already looking forward to next year.

Room Tip: I highly recommend the master suite!

We've stayed at Home lodge a couple of times now, and it really does feel like home when we're there. The great room is massive and the dining room has plenty of seating even for groups of up to 10 or more. The bedrooms are really comfortable with their own private baths. The hosts are extremely friendly and serve up fantastic breakfasts. We've stayed there while skiing and the fact they have a big mud room where you can store and dry out your gear is perfect. Of course, the hot tub after a long day of skiing really hits the spot. The lodge is on a working farm with horses and highland cows, meaning they're also surrounded by fields, forest and mountains, allowing for some great views. Highly recommended (but make sure to leave a couple weekends free for me and my friends).
