Passing through golden the owner of the b&b we stayed at recommended the whitetooth bistro. We found our way to the hidden rooftop patio which overlooks the kicking horse river. On a beautifully sunny August night it was very relaxing watching the final rafting parties of the day drift by. The menu was very good and I was amazed by the kids menu. It was a real menu rather than an after thought of chicken fingers, KD, hotdogs! Our server was so uninterested in us or any of her tables that it was almost comic to watch her walk away while someone was trying to ask a question or drop off good without making eye contact. The great menu, fast kitchen and beautiful surroundings over shadowed the lack of professional service. However, a complete lack of draft beer can not be forgiven. Of the ~10 beers on the menu there was 1 option left. With this hot summer in imagine the beer selling business has been good in golden, so goodnight sold out. I would also like to see local beers on tap, specifically Mt Begbie from just up the road in Revy.
