hi,
stayed about 5 nights in wintertime and one night in summertime and this place is just amazing.
the owners are very friendly, the house is more than cosy. with its chimney in the middle of the living room, all the couches around it, the open kitchen with all the amenities you need. we loved to stay there and will come back, definitly!!!!

Great staff, great facilities, phenomenal service and unbeatable location - two minutes to grocery store, one minute to bars/clubs and 15 minutes to ski hill.

We were made to feel very welcome during our two night stay at Dreamcatcher. The staff exceeded all expectations and went over and above to ensure we had a memorable stay.

This place feels like home, it's really beautiful and welcoming : you have jukebox, a fireplace with some incredibly comfortable couches, the rooms are great and the bed really comfortable too !
People there are really firendly and try to help you as much as they can ! they have a warm room were you can let you skis, skins, ski boots and stuff so it's not frozen the next day, there is also a nice kitchen with a large fridge and cupboard were you can keep your food...
everything is perfect ! this is really the best hostel I've ever seen !

We stayed at the Dreamcatcher Hostel to ski Kicking Horse. It is very conveniently located beside a grocery store, banks, breakfast cafes and 1 block to the main road to the ski hill for hitch hiking. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped. The common area is very welcoming with an exceptionally clean and well equipped kitchen to accomodate a crowd. The owners are VERY friendly, helpful and welcoming. They have even built a special equipment storage and boot drying room. The only drawback is that Golden is about 13 kms from Kicking Horse and there is no bus service so you must have a car or be prepared to hitch hike (which wasn't too difficult).

This was my first hostel experience and it really set the standards high!! It was nicer plus more affordable than staying nearby in a cheap motel/hotel! The owners were very accommodating and were so friendly always offering to help us in any way. Clean and lots of room. Excellent cooking facilities and importantly comfy clean beds !!!

We stayed here for one night on a saturday. The vibe really relaxed, not much partying which is good! Amazing common area/kitchen is really cozy but there is alot of space. The beds were great, very comfortable and not really like a hostel bed. Gerald and Abi are great hosts and very knowledgeable about the area and where to go riding at kicking horse. They warm up your boots over night and if you ask you can get your skis/board waxed and edged! Definitely will stay again.

I've done quite a lot of traveling during my years, but I must say that the Dreamcatcher Hostel has been one of the best hostels I've stayed at. The owners (Abi and Gerald) and the staff, are very friendly and helped us out alot when ever we asked for it. The hostel itself is also very pleasant, it has an open fire place, a jukebox, a big kitchen that you're free to use, lots of sofas in the common room, and last but not least, two lovely hostel dogs that were the first ones to welcome you after a long day on the mountain. Overall it's a very calm and friendly hostel that suits all kinds of travelers. If I ever go back to Golden, Dreamcatcher is definitly the place I'm gonna stay at!
