Had a lovely meal, really well cooked and presented. Service excellent.
Only choice of white or red wine and neither particularly good, however the food more than made up for that.
If you are travelling to hope, try this out

In our party of three we got chili out of a can, processed "turkey" and a salad that was mostly browning iceberg lettuce. It was at least 25 minutes for the food to be served. The salad was ordered specifically with no onions but came with onions. The server came back and started arguing that they didn't count because they were just the little green onions. I said that i still did not want them. She continued to argue, saying that green onions are ok and that i would hardly taste them. When i said that i would be able to taste them she sullenly offered to get the cook to make it over again but warned that the food for the other 15 people who had just ordered would be made first. We were on our way to the interior and did not have an hour and a half to wait for a limp-leaf salad.
I did my best to pick out the onions but most of the salad was uneaten. When she came back to take the plates away she sneeringly reminded me that I could have had it made over, implying that the while thing was my fault.
Terrible food and awful service. Do yourself a favour and skip it.

The atmosphere is amazing - the owners are fantastic - the service is great - the food is homestyle tasty. This is not fine dining - this is soup and sandwich, cup of coffee good!

The "Owl" is located in a replica of a 1000 year old Viking post and beam lodge. The decor is, well, all things "Owl". It is a small "Mum & Pop" type business that specializes in homemade soups and sandwiches. Graham the owner and his wife make everything themselves in the back. I always order the Chicken Club for $7.99. No super-thin slices of chicken or bacon here...they use the real thing and the result is a huge delicious sandwich that you can barely get your mouth around. They have no deep-fryer so the chips you get with it are out of a bag but you'll hardly notice. The club is a meal in itself. They also have nice, cold, draft beer on tap!
