Kathy and her staff at Joe's Restaurant & Lounge are inviting, friendly, and serve great food. On a trip back from Vancouver, we decided to detour off the TCH to explore lunch options. Since neither of us had been to downtown Hope, we thought we would see what was available. We saw Joe's Restaurant.
Joe's Restaurant is located downtown on the main intersection corner. It looked inviting from road. A very nice curb appeal. It was appointed with great colours, taste, and modern. Once inside, we were pleasantly surprised at the detail and decor. While it wasn't summer, we did notice the "garage doors" along the one wall that would open up to form a giant patio. A great touch.
The menu was extensive. It has something for everyone. The prices were very reasonable. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was friendly with a touch of posh. Don't let that fool you; Kathy and her staff are welcoming, helpful, and serve a variety of food. You could attend a lunch or dinner wearing a pair of jeans or a nice suit. It has a great feel.
If you are a traveller or a local, I am sure this "cafe" will meet your needs. Enjoy the friendly staff, sit out on the patio (in the summer), and enjoy the scenery.
