The ambience adjusts to all seasons! In the winter, a cozy flame stove with side chairs invites relaxation before or after a day on the ski hill. Tables of varied heights add to the uniqueness. As summer approaches, you are served at outdoor tables away from the street unless you prefer to sit inside. Ceiling made of woven, lighted white willows was made by a famous local wood artist. Various local original art hangs on the walls. Rhonda and her staff treat you like family. But the food!!! Give me a break!!! The McKonch breakfast 'sandwich' is world-class. The frittata is so tasty and satisfying! Scones? Yes!!! Closer to lunch time, homemade soups made daily (from scratch, as is everything) are SO tasty due to creative recipes. Curry one day, chorizo the next, squash and more. The tastes just don't stop. Sandwiches are superb, salads include a symphony of fresh ingredients and are filling. I can not say enough about Rhonda and her love for people and food. I wish there was one of her cafes in every town I visit!

Everyday Corner Cafe has a great soup of the day which always hits the spot. The soups are homemade and made with love and care. You can tell that they don't skimp on ingredients and always aim to prepare a wonderful, healthy and hearty soup to enjoy. Add toast, yummy coleslaw (not too creamy, not too vinegary) or even a sandwich made on a fresh croissant or a hearty bread to really fill you up. This place is the best kept secret of Invermere for lunch.

Corner Cafe was opened last summer by local "foodies" Rhonda Konchak and Richard Unger and immediately became a smash hit for those who could find it. Tucked away in the corner of Frater Landing, between Maxwell Realty and Interior World, this spot is a hidden gem. It became my go-to lunch location almost everyday, in a town lacking in fresh, creative cuisine served in a clean, attractive setting. The lattes and cappuccinos are well-made but the real strength is the food- prepared fresh by Rhonda every day and super-yummy! Amazing daily soups, good sandwiches, excellent creative salads and also a great selection on the breakfast menu, to say nothing of the superb baking. The outdoor deck at Frater Landing is the nicest in town and we will be enjoying morning coffee and lunch there very soon. The only negative about Corner Cafe is that it is not yet open in the evening :(.
