“Copper Point for Skiing”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

This is great place to stay if you want to ski at several areas. The amenities were perfect and the staff was very helpful. Beautifully appointed accommodations that allows for plenty of relaxation after a long day on the slopes.

Room Tip: Choose an upper floor ....the hardwoods can be noisy for the lower floors.

We really liked the resort except for the indoor pool temperature. We were at the resort in December and were very much looking forward to the indoor pool as an option in the event we had inclement weather that wasn't conducive to skiing or outdoor activity. The pool temperature was around 78-79 degrees which is too cold for regular swimming. We did discuss it with the management and they were adamant that 79 degrees is where they keep the temperature all the time and have had no other complaints. We encountered a few other people in the pool area who basically just went into the hot tub and the pool was empty most of the time. Wonder why???? When we looked online for indoor pool temperatures, it was suggested that 82-84 degrees was more suitable to regular swimming vs 78 degrees for competitive swimming.

General M, Manager at Copper Point Resort, responded to this review, January 4, 2013
We apologize that you were unsatisfied with the temperature of the pool, which has been maintained at 80*F since our opening in May of 2010. We have enjoyed a great deal of positive feedback relative to the comfort and cleanliness of all of our pools so this is disappointing to hear. We will monitor our guest feedback specifically to the indoor pool temperature to ensure we make whatever changes may be deemed to be necessary. We thank you again for your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back to Copper Point Resort.

The second time we stayed at Copperpoint resort was just as good as the first one, despite shoulder season and less activities available in the Invermere area. What a nice property! Sadly, our stay ended in a dispute of incorrect charges applied by the resort. During our stay, on three different occasions my credit card was charged with other people's accommodation fees. Once I discovered what happened and complained, it took the resort about two weeks to figure out what went wrong. I called the credit card and reported fraudulent charges, which were promptly reversed. I also asked the resort to refund the price of Groupon that I currently have for one of their other properties - have not heard back on this one. During our first stay back in August, we also saw some interesting customer billing activity at this resort. The breakfast buffet, which is being advertised in all elevators at $12.99 per person, was in fact $17.99 per person, which we did not discovered until we finished eating and were presented with the bill. At check-out, the resort attempted to charge someone else's restaurant bill to our room - we disputed on the spot and had the charge reversed. What I am trying to say is that there is quite a bit of negligence going on in the areas of billing, price advertising and handling the customers' financial information.

Thank you for your comments GalinaCalgary_Canada. I will first apologize for all the inconvenients you experienced during your stay with us. You can be sure this situation is not common and will certainly not happen again. We have strict policies concerning private guests information including charging guests credit card without their approval. I apologize for the delay in that matter as we were inquiring about this situation. All our managers have been notified to prevent this to happen again.
Concerning the Groupon you purchased, we do not have other properties as we are the only Copper Point Resort.
I apologize again if you feel we did not take care of this matter properly and I hope to see you again with us. You can contact me directly for further concerns.

Its is a picturesque resort nestled in the Rockies. The suites have all the amenities of home and then some. 2 fireplaces, bath tub for 2, stand up shower with a bench. TV on the bathroom mirror is unexpected surprise. The outdoor pool is warm and refreshing in the cool evenings.
Can't wait for my next visit. This is my luxury stay when in Invermere on business.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the valley on the upper floors.

Beautiful modern accomadations was my fiancee's 50th Bday and he truly feels like he celebrated it in style at this resort! The staff all made him feel very special on his special day. We are breakfast (buffet) at the Elements Grill and ordered room service from the Elements Grill as well (Nacho's were the best!! :) Food was very good. Would definatly make this an annual birthday tradition!

This past summer I had the opportunity to entertain friends from England and chose to make a tour of the Rocky Mountains. We spent only one night at Copper Point Resort but as soon as we arrived we were sorry that we hadn't based ourselves here for the entire 5 day trip. The resort is well equipped with pools, hot tub, fitness room and restaurant - all of which we unfortunately didn't have a chance to use because of our short stay but also because our suite was so comfortable and inviting that we chose to spend our time relaxing and visiting.

The decor and furnishings were exceptional - modern and luxurious. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and staff was friendly. We were on the 4th floor and had two balconies and a fantastic view of the mountains. The resort does have a small store but if you are wanting to cook yourself you will want to stop in town (Invermere or Radium) to pick up groceries. The kitchen was well equipped and a BBQ was available on the balcony.

Since this trip I have stayed at Copper Point again, this time in a single room and even though it was not quite as impressive, we enjoyed our stay and will return when were are in this area.

Room Tip: Request a room on the 4th floor for views and to avoid noise from the floors above (hardwood and sla...
