It is a quiet area, walking trails lead to a great overview of the Fraser River, Matsqui, and north-east toward Chilliwack, with mountains in the background. The Abbey itself is spectacular - brilliant stained glass in abstract seasonal colors. The art work is superb. Religious services and evensong are held daily, and visitors are welcome - it is packed on Catholic holy days, so come early if you want to participate. The bell tower can be seen from miles away; carillon plays at regular hours, and can be heard in the surrounding areas and Hatzic community to the east. There is a visitors area, with a model of the grounds and buildings, and information about the history. The Benedictine order operates a dairy, grow their own foods, and are welcoming to visitors. Please stay on the paths and respect the quiet environment.
