“Lives up to its rep.”
Reviewed February 22, 2012

Consistently excellent food from an eclectic menu and the biggest wine list in town. Arguably the best restaurant in Nelson. Summertime gets you out on their wonderful patio.

“A really good restaurant”
Reviewed January 10, 2012

All Seasons Cafe was recommended by our B&B proprietors. A quaint little reataurant tucked away in an alleyway behind the main street in Nelson. A hidden gem. Waitress was affable and knowledgeable. Service was good. Menu was excellent. A great selection of dishes. Four of us had a meal there and we couldn't stop oohing and aahing. Steaks were cooked to perfection as requested (Hard to find these days). Diver scallops on potato rosti were out of this world. I have never seen scallops so big, yet they were cooked perfectly, crispy and golden on the outside and creamy smooth on the inside.(Well done Chef!!). We thought we would look at the Desserts Menu even though we were satisfied. We couldn't help ourselves though after reading the menu. The Lavender Honey Creme Brulee was devine and the girls said that the Sticky Toffee Pudding was excellent.Alan was swooning over the Chocolate Truffles plate and said that he had never tasted chocolate like that before. Overall, a great meal in a great restaurant.

“Incredible food, inventive recipes”
Reviewed January 2, 2012

My boyfriend and I had a Christmas Eve dinner at this restaurant. The atmosphere was very cosy and romantic. There were a number of original artworks displayed around, the place is very tastefully decorated. We were served by the restaurant owner himself, a lovely man who definitely loves his job. Now, the food was to die for. We have travelled and dined extensively around the world, and we were very impressed! Scallops with chocolate sauce melted in one's mouth, we were almost fighting with each other for them :) I had duck with mushroom risotto. It was the best duck I haver ever tried. Soft and juicy. My partner had mussels, that were oversized and delicious. The only reason I rate value at 4 is because we found wine a little expensive. I think this kind of food should be accompanied by fine wine without breaking the bank :) A Christmas Eve dinner for two ended up costing $170, including a bottle of wine, appetizers, mains and desserts accompanied by port, and tip. Very good value for the quality of food.
