We were only staying one night in Nelson on our travels and were recommended this place by a waitress in Vancouver. Food was exceptional and ambience was chilled to go with the laid back town of Nelson. Owners have created a wonderful dining area outside on the decking which we recommend you try and sit. My wife had the pea ravioli and I had the halibut. Both were amazing, well done chef! Not sure why this is so far down the list I can only guess all the other restaurants are outstanding. Hmmm........

Without going into great boring detail, the service was slow and bad (inexcusable for the smallness of this place), and the food is terribly overpriced for the mediocreness of it.

If you're counting on that really special dining experience, this is a poor bet.

This is a great spot to eat in Nelson. It is right on the main street and easy to get to.

We ate here on a holiday and while we enjoyed the atmosphere with the linen curtains and patio our meal was horrible from start to finish. If you are a Vegetarian steer clear of this place, it seems that to compensate for the "lack of meat" they throw everything in the kitchen in the dishes (we had the two Vegetarian options, Pea Ravioli, and Gnocchi). The Gnocchi was overdone (by a lot) and without flavor, served in some kind of soupy sauce on a bed of uncooked greens, chunks of butter floating around that we thought was cheese and ate (ew), an Eggplant served with skin on (took some time to figure out what it was) etc. The other dish was even worse! The Ravioli was so over cooked, floating again in a broth that looked meat like, with a nest of tangled pea greens on top, a substance inside that resembled (and tasted like) pea baby food, and mushrooms that were too rubbery to eat. The only thing we could eat was the cheese pasta my son got by accident (he had ordered the grilled cheese sandwich which was served on blueberry/orange/feta bread... another combination gone wrong (my daughter ordered it as well). For this dining pleasure (without any liquor) we paid $75. We eat out often, and this is hands down the worst meal we've had in YEARS. Get someone in the kitchen who knows how to cook for Vegetarians, or just stay away from it completely.

My husband and I had dinner at the All Season's Cafe after hearing glowing reviews and were horridly disappointed. The restaurant itself was dirty and unkempt on the outdoor patio...plants were dead, trash was evident and the table wasn't properly cleaned. The service was unbearably slow--our waiter spent more time exuding his "I'm better than you" attitude than serving and couldn't have been LESS interested in waiting on us. When we asked for the bill, he said "You two have a plane to catch or something?"....TOTALLY rude. The food and wine were grossly over priced and while the menu was interesting, the prices were ridiculous. This cafe needs a complete attitude adjustment ......Nelson is a lovely place and visitors deserve better than ths.
