This restaurant has brought a certain old country Italian feel to Nelson that was simply missing. The pizza was cooked in a traditional oven and had a perfect combination of subtle flavours without the typical amount of overbearing sauce. The squid was unique in that is was not deep fried and did not have the crusty coating that completely overpowers the delicate squid taste. The wine was exquisite and affordable. And finally the server was charming, patient, and endearing. Can't wait to return!

Service was excellent, the food was delicious, and they have the perfect BC wines to compliment any meal! We had the squid as a starter (plenty to share) and for my main I had the crackling boneless quarter chicken with a side of charred rapini. Perfection!

Large table dinner with family and friends.
The atmosphere and finishings in this place are A1. No expense was spared to make this feel authentic. Service was attentive by a bubbly server. Nice diverse menu. Unfortunately the food was hit and miss. Tri tip steak was excellent, risotto a bit undercooked, bland and watery. Spaghetti and meatballs; meatballs dry and bland, tuna puttanesca; nice tuna but pasta quite bland for something that should be very flavorful dish, tiramisu mousse for desert was excellent. Overall 3.5-4*. I’ll revisit in a few weeks and give it another shot.

Wow they did a HUGE Reno to this former restaurant and did they ever do it right !

Be sure to call and make a reservation as this place will be full for some time- lunch may be a better option for availability

They make there own ‘Pasta’ - gnocchi etc.

The fries are pretty awesome- they make there own ketchup... I found a bit heavy on the cinnamon but was a very nice change.

They serve sparkling water as a normal glass of water.

Our lunch dishes were hearty size (salad is so outstanding with a fresh house made dressing) focaccia bread for the tuna melt -

Tuna melt is not what you may be used to they have ‘spruced it up’ and was very flavour full with twists of textures

Partner had the steak sandwich- not your usual thing- sliced tip steak had great flavours.

Totally recommend Nelson as being a gastronomic destination.... they have such variety
