Owner description: Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park straddles the scenic Little Qualicum River, west of Parksville, where impressive waterfalls cascade and plummet down a rocky gorge in a beautiful forest setting. Perhaps the most magnificent park on Vancouver Island, Little Qualicum Falls incorporates the entire southern shore of Cameron Lake, adjacent to MacMillan Provincial Park and the awesome Cathedral Grove Rainforest. Cameron Lake is bordered by steep mountains: Mt. Wesley to the north and Mt. Arrowsmith to the south.

“beatiful but also very dangerous.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2013

Last week yet another tragedy at one of our beautiful waterfalls. A young man died here. Please enjoy beautiful British Colmbia but be aware that dozens of people die every year in our lakes, rivers and ocean.Mostly people do not see the danger. Stay behind the fencing and enjoy a great walk around the river and falls. Spectacular especially in winter when water levels are high.

“Relaxing walk around wonderful waterfalls”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2013 via mobile

Another stop and short break whilst staying for a week near Parksville.

These falls offer a number of walking routes, including a circuit covering the two major parts of these falls - crossing over walkways over the falls. You can choose some vigorous walks but we found the circuit over the two falls relaxing and enjoyable. Take a picnic and camera.

Very relaxing, and well worth going to - nearby you can visit Coombs and the 'Goats on the Roof' market.

“camping 101”

It has an amazing set of falls to look at and there is camping nearby, where you spend hours just relaxing or go on a number of trails hiking, biking, or just a leisurely walk.

“Great set”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

This is a great set of falls. We also were stopping off between Tofino and Nanaimo, and these provided just a good little break- maybe half an hour.
Personally think these are better than Englishman river falls. I don't know which falls previous poster visited, but these have fascinating twists and turns and oddly sculpted formations- both upper and lower falls.
My tip would be to work upwards from the lower falls and let the drama unfold, walking up to the upper falls using the trail on the far bank.
