Owner description: Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park straddles the scenic Little Qualicum River, west of Parksville, where impressive waterfalls cascade and plummet down a rocky gorge in a beautiful forest setting. Perhaps the most magnificent park on Vancouver Island, Little Qualicum Falls incorporates the entire southern shore of Cameron Lake, adjacent to MacMillan Provincial Park and the awesome Cathedral Grove Rainforest. Cameron Lake is bordered by steep mountains: Mt. Wesley to the north and Mt. Arrowsmith to the south.

Quite beautiful waterfalls that are easily accessible with short walks to both upper and lower falls

“Great place to visit for a short hike”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

Wonderful place to hike. Paths were well maintained with some beautiful bridges built over the falls...some nice little stairsteps, etc. Good signage with attention to the safety of those using the park. Looks like there is lots of camping space available, though we were visiting early season. The falls had some good action and worth the trip to view them. Interesting info about their participation in the biosphere. We found some signage at the trailhead to be very educational and impressive. It made us regret that the US spends so much of their money on defense instead of improving public destination parks like the Canadians have done. Environment was very well maintained and clean. We loved our visit there.

“Great campground”
Reviewed June 11, 2013 via mobile

A group of 8 friends recently meet at this park for a few nights of hiking, eating and drinking. Plenty of space, friendly service, everything you need in a campground. Did not find showers, but who needs em when you have fresh brisk water nearby.
Awesome riverside hike to awesome waterfall starts right in the camp.

“Pretty, but not amazing Free attraction”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

Worth a quick look if you're out in this area for the MacMillan Provincial Park Cathedral Grove. Plenty of parking an just off the major highway, but set back down scenic road. Lots of steps to walk down to see it. Only half of my group with some older folks decided to walk down. You can hear it from the parking lot. I'll call it more of a stream of water going down an incline rapidly over rocks than falls. Don't expect a big waterfall or anything. But still very scenic and pretty.

“Beautiful and wild.”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

The trails are long and sometimes steep but the river is amazing. You do not want to swim here it is far to fast moving but a great place to stop and picnic. A hidden gem.
