“Great Spot for Families”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

Our family loves to camp near Parksville every year and the Craig Heritage Park is a must-see every time. The old buildings collected from the area are the main attraction. The kids love seeing the furnishings inside and wandering around the park. The museum itself is full of the local kitschy artifacts that make for a fun time explaining to the kids what these weird objects are.

“Excellent Indoor/Outdoor Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

Craig Heritage Park is a wonderful experience that far exceeded our expectations. Located adjacent to the Parksville visitors center, the park is a great destination for both children and adults. The park consists of various buildings the visitor walks through, including an original settler's cabin with period furnishings, an old school house, post office, car camp cabin (straight out of the movie "It Happened One Night", fire station and a building housing a small but very interesting museum. Also on the grounds are old farm implements and machinery. This is one of those places that manages to combine fun and learning for both kids and adults. Well thought out and presented, this is a low-key attraction that is definitely worth a stop.

“Hugely interesting”

Located right on the old Island Hwy 19a this small Museum is creatively laid out with memorabilla, artifacts, exhibits, explanations, and such of the rich heritage that Vancouver Island offers. A window in to an earlier time that lets the mind breathe. Working off donations and a shoestring budget, much effort is made to keep this important slice of history well maintained, and to make your visit worthwhile. Never too busy this little Museum makes great stop for people of all ages, and bring the kids for sure.
