I had heard that there was real mexican food here and was very excited. The food was good and fresh but not what I had experienced when I had been in Mexico. In Mexico I was used to getting cabbage not lettuce on the tacos and wraps (lettuce browns too quickly in the heat in Mexico) and the fish tacos were quite different. The food was good at AVO'S don't get me wrong. Just not what I was expecting.

Stopped in after a morning at the beach with our 3 boys in tow. Everyone enjoyed their meals. For the fussy 4 yr old we special ordered a "chicken and cheese roll up" without the usual mexican pairings. The waitress and owner/cook did a great job catering to our special needs. The teenager had natchos and devoured them. It was a big enough portion to share a few with his middle bro, too! I had the fish tacos that were as good tasting and as close to the little cantina in Todos Santos, Mex where my sister lives! Hubby had some big, beef (?) soft tacowith cheese, with beans, rice, tortillas, guac etc... Again a too big portion, but we didn't take the leftovers on the road with us.. Price was jacked up by the fancy Jones Sodas we all had. Otherwise it was pretty reasonable. Will be back.

after a scenic drive down island we stopped at avo's for a quick lunch. the fish taco was fabulous! a little kick of heat and perfectly cooked fish. the enchilada was also very tasty. the beans left a little to be desired (not homemade?) but the rice tasted really good. not sure what was on the enchilada plate, something like a sweet salsa but it was really , really delicious. large portions and good service.

We have found the food to be top notch 2nd only to the service. Our server Micki is always extremely considerate and attentive to us and our childs needs. Always brings our son toys as well as a special plate of avocado and mango slices perfect for his age (11mo). Would recommend.

Waited 45 minutes for our food at lunch. A customer who came in after us was served before us and was finished his meal before we even received our food. We were on a lunch break and didn't get back to the office in time. The staff seemed indifferent. The food was ok but nothing special.
