“quite tasty”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

We had lunch. The chicken hot pot and the hot and sour soup. Good service and the food was hot and quite tasty, but did not have the depth of flavor that we expected. The soup was more sweet than sour and the hot pot needed lots of soy sauce to liven it up, but we would go back again and have a different dish.

“Awesome flavours!! You have to eat here!!”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

We joined another couple here Jan 2013 and were impressed with everything!!! Service was friendly, casual and interactive. Premises were squeaky clean and sparkled. Cozy rooms off of the main lobby area. First time in a long time that I've not had to wear a sweater or coat in a restaurant because of air conditioning or drafts.
Main dishes could serve two people and ranged in price from 12-22 dollars.
Friends started out with spring rolls and fish sauce and shared a main dish of seafood with chow mein noodles. They loved it and were able to take some home. Tasty fresh ingredients, light batter. Yummy
We opted not to have an appy and each ordered a main dish. Husband couldn't NOT finish his spicey chicken stir fry as it was really flavourful and tender. I couldn't resist the left over juices from his meal and had something resembling 1/2 a cup of soup. I had the sweet and sour pork with chunks of vegg, lots of meat in a sauce that was just right for my tastebuds....not too sweet or sour. Dessert was a deep fried banana with ice cream...it was large enough for all 4 of us to share. All of our food was cooked to perfection and was delicious!!

“Great spot for lunch or dinner”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

My wife and I (sometimes also with friends) have eaten a number times at this restaurant. On each visit we have been delighted with the food and the efficient, friendly service. The restaurant which is family owned and operated provides fresh excellent "homemade" meals which are very reasonably priced.

“Tasty fresh food and friendly, knowledgable and helpful service”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Mekong River restaurant is our number one "go to" restaurant for a night out or even lunch...just by ourselves or when we have company. Food is top quality - fresh vegetables, seafood and the meat is always tender, never fat or chewy. Spices and herbs have been added to enhance and delight the palate. Great food!
You can always count on a warm greeting, a little friendly conversation and excellent advice and suggestions. Great service!
You can count on anything on the menu but DON'T miss out on the salad rolls...umum tasty!

“Fresh and excellent!”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

I love family run operations and this is no exception.
Everything is fresh, not expensive & the service is great.
The mussels are the best I have ever had, the fried banana is always a hit and LOVE that coffee.
The best part of this restaurant is the son is the waiter (what a card) always puts a smile on our face.
He is a real entertainer and while Mom is cooking in the kitchen.
Works for me!
